Very nice mahjong set. The case is nice, I thought it was a sturdy case like hard cover. The inside tole holder is flimsy so its a good idea to tape it in sdvance.Love the mahjong set, its slightly smaller than indicated but nonetheless beautiful. I like that the tiles have the indicated numbers to the design so there's no guessing. It comes with a full booklet. I 100% would buy again ... show more

I spent so much time looking for a set for Chinese Mahj and I'm so glad that this is the one I purchased. I already have two sets for American Mahj but I wanted a set with large tiles exclusively for Chinese play. I'm so glad I didn't get hung up with all the complaints about the size of the tiles. They're described as 1 and 1/2 inches. I measured mine and they are 1 and 5/12th of an inch - that's only 1/12th of an inch smaller than 1 and 1/2 inches and that is perfectly fine with me. I have no problem rounding up 1/12th of an inch. It probably makes it easier for people to picture the size when it's described as 1 and 1/2 rather than 1 and 5/12ths. The lettering, ink and pictures are perfect. I ordered it in blue and every one of the tiles are perfect on both sides - no scratches or smudges. There are Arabic numbers on the characters and letters on the winds so that will be helpful when teaching new players. The case is just fine. I've already taken the set of tiles in the case to friends' homes and it's holding up just fine. I don't hold it by the handle because it is very heavy and I can see where over time the case might not hold up well but I don't see that happening any time soon. The VALUE is remarkable. Bought this as a fun family night game. This is very heavy to carry and the carring box does seem flimmsy unsure how it will hold up over time. The tiles look just like the image. Overall I am pleased with the purchase.

The set is nice but can be blemished easily. The tiles are larger than other sets. So bang for buck is nice but the case is garbage. Reminded me of old Chinese made toys from the 80s and early 90s. Set is nice the case is not

This was a great buy. Got it for my 11 year old son, but it’s been a big hit with our whole family. I researched SO many options before purchasing this set. Very glad I ultimately decided on this one. Tiles are great quality and the game is a lot of fun.
