This paint by numbers set is really nice for the price. It comes with a wood frame that you can pin your painting to and hang it up like a real stretched painting, or you can frame it. It comes with the option to hang with nails, or a damage free set of Velcro. The canvas is thick and feels like nice quality. I haven’t started painting yet, but I am eager to. I want to learn to paint on my own, and I thought this would be a great starting point to teach me patience with detail, as well as get my hand used to holding a brush and certain movements, so when I’m ready to paint on my own I’m already familiar with the feeling. I was misled by the picture thinking it came with a small easel, but it doesn’t. I have a couple of easels though, one that is a tall floor easel and also a desktop one, so I can just use those. It comes with brushes as well, one for filling in larger areas and a small detail brush for tiny areas. There are quite a few spots that have very small areas on my painting. The canvas itself is color coded, which I’m not sure how I feel about that. On the one hand it helps differentiate between all of the areas so you don’t accidentally paint the wrong color too far into an area, but on the other, it sort of gives you a preview of the end result instead of seeing it come to life as you paint. The canvas colors are not very bold however so I think you could still have that satisfied feeling of seeing it come to life once the bold paint is applied. Very excited about this! Also the price is great. I’ve seen a lot of paint by numbers that are very expensive. Of course if you want a very large one it’ll probably be pricey, but for just a little one to do for fun it’s a great price! It will be a great hobby for my son to do when he’s older as well!

This is one of the best paint by number sets I have seen that is good for beginners to work on. Normally you are dealing with rather tiny sections to paint all over the canvas, but this set has very large sections of the same color, making it much easier to handle and relax with. The first one I opened had a large section of the entire top of it just one color, so it will be a lot better for me when I am busy and just want to play around painting without thinking too much about what I am doing. They do have the sections color shaded on the canvas, along with having numbers for the colors you use. I have not completed these yet, but the paints look okay, not dried out. I just cannot say yet if there will be enough. They do not have the 2 sets of paints marked that I could see to show which set goes with what painting and I do not know if it makes a difference, so if giving these as gifts to two people or two children in the household, I would check that first to avoid issues. They both arrive rolled up inside a box with plenty of room for them, so there is no problem at all with creases, a nice relief considering how many are sold folded. I would definitely look for this brand in the future to buy again as this is only the 2nd time I have found one of these projects that was so stress free, as long as I do not run into any issues working them.

I love to paint! Sometimes I have painters block and have no idea what to paint so it ends up being a stressful mess. A paint by numbers is such a mindless yet relaxing way to spend some time making beautiful artwork and it’s so easy! I got a set of two for me and my boyfriend and I am so happy with how the paintings turned out! You’ll definitely need some water to get the paint going but otherwise it’s a great product.

Nice canvas. I don't care for the pre-colored background. But what was really annoying was the fact that the frame provided for the canvas is completely the wrong size. I wouldn't order again.

I ordered this particular paint-by-number because out out of the 4 offered only 2, this and one other, came with the frame, and then because I preferred this subject matter over the other one with a frame. Lately, I find myself with plenty of spare time and am constantly looking for projects that I can do in an on-again, off-again manner. This will fit the bill nicely. It also does not require a great deal of space. The kit itself is very nice. The canvas comes rolled and without wrinkles and the lines and numbers are printed onto the canvas very lightly to be easy to cover over, but are still clearly visible. This is the first time I've seen the canvas also tinted with the same colors as the paint will be. That will definitely help eliminate the error of painting an area the wrong color if you happen to forget of the number of the color you're working with, but still, I'm not really sure I like the tinted canvas. No big deal - it'll all get covered over anyway. As previously mentioned, it does come with a ver simple wooden frame and tacks to secure the assembled frame and attach the canvas. Also included are 2 separate wall hanging choices: either with 4 adhesive-backed 'picture hanging' strips of velcro or with a set of hooks & screws. So there you have it. From starting out of the box to hanging the finished painting everything you need is included. If you want to add a frame to the finished painting, that can also be done, but on your own. The one thing that confused me is that on the very simple set of instructions the painting is not being attached to the frame until after it has been completed. That seems a bit backward to me and I do plan on stretching the canvas over the frame before painting. That will also make it easier to put aside when I'm not working on it. The one extra item I really wish the kit had included is an easel. Not necessary to the project, but such a convenience.

This arrived in a solid cardboard box impossible to be crushed. The canvas are of good quality and texture and rolled so no crimps in them, fantastic. They included Velcro hanging strips and glue dots as well I suppose if you wanted to attach it to a poster board and hang it and the glue dots will be helpful for holding it flat while painting I believe. The paints look fresh and creamy not dried out. I can’t wait to attempt this project! Nice quality for the price.
