  • Chicago is Allright!!!
Size: 11
The media could not be loaded. I've read posts and Chicago skates are good I'm not a rookie so when you get new skates always adjust check wheels and under shoe for tightness , and take a sec to lube your wheels your self may not be enough from factory , I also bought another. set of wheels n bearings nice boot and price you can easily transforme into a high level skate ... show more

  • Poor quality Roller skates
Size: 4
I bought these Roller Skates for my 8 years old son. He's been using them once a week (he takes classes) for the past 3 months. Roller skates are now unusable. Tried to contact company many times, but they won't respond. Also, company's contact info provided by Amazon is incorrect.

  • Fair skates, but you'll need new wheels & bearings..
Size: 11
After purchasing these, I can see the disconnect between the 5-star and 1-star reviews. The skates themselves are designed & constructed well, but the wheels & bearings are a bit low quality. I use these exclusively on an indoor surface and wore out the original wheels after 9 hours of skate time. Granted, I'm over 200 lbs and impose more force on the item than a child or lighter person, but I had 'coned' those wheels after the 1st (3 hour) session. After 2 more sessions, two of them were worn down to the hub. So I had to replace the wheels, but purchased new bearings as well and it was only then that I realized how smooth good bearings should roll. I replaced the wheels with a slightly wider '85 hardness' wheel and under the same stress the new ones are showing NO signs of wear after more than 50 hours of skate time. If you get these skates, be prepared, you may be also buying new wheels and bearings sooner than you think. ... show more

  • Great fit, looks nice.
Size: 7
I’m a beginner. I’m starting tomorrow, but they fit perfectly and the look good. They seem smooth as I took tried them out on my hardwood floor at the house. I typically wear a men’s 7 a women’s 8.5 and I got a 7....

  • You get what you pay for
Size: 11
After having these skates for approximately 2 and half months and using them maybe 6 times they fell apart. First off upon arrival the wheels were all in different states, some tight some loose. After 3 times of use the shoe started coming apart from the sole and all parts started coming lose. Now after the 6th use one of the wheels lost its bearings and the wheels themselves are coming apart and without buying new wheels and bearing these skates are no longer useable. I would not recommend them to anyone. They were purchased for a 12 year old as his first set. Even though they are inexpensive i would have thought they would last more than just a warranty period. If I could rate them lower than 1 start I would have. ... show more

  • You really do need to replace the bearings - otherwise, decent. Run a half-size too big.
Size: 9
I'm an 80's kid roller skater, just getting back into it since my 7-year-old daughter is really into it. She's convinced me to join her artistic figure skating club (what the heck - nice mommy/daughter time, and I could use some more exercise, grace, and a couple tricks!), so it was time for me to buy some skates. I didn't want to spend a ton, so I found these in the Amazon Warehouse for $40 - great deal! I wear a women's 10.5-11, and normally wear a men's 9.5 sneaker. However, the skates I've been renting at the rink were size 9, so I ordered a 9, and they fit perfectly - nice amount of room in the toe. So, I'd say these run large by a half-size. When I tried them out for the first time, I instantly noticed 3 things: they certainly were not gliding as nicely as the rental skates, they made a loud whirring noise while you roll, and the boot was rather stiff on my back lower calf. When I turned around to go backwards, I nearly fell over since they barely glided at all - I actually took them off and rented a pair after 5 minutes since I actually felt unsafe on them. They DEFINITELY need better bearings (a lot of other reviewers say they need better wheels too, but I'm not an avid enough skater to pass judgement on the wheels). I just put some Bones Reds Precision bearings in my daughter's Chicago skates (Amazon had 8 packs of 8mm for $9.99), and I couldn't believe how much more freely the wheels spun afterward (must have had the same crappy bearings). I can't believe how well she was skating on the crappy bearings now that I have experienced firsthand how much they suck! It was very easy to replace them - I just watched a video on You Tube to see how, and did it with the wrench tool that came with the skates and a flat-head screwdriver, and was done in 5 minutes. So, I think these skates would be decent with some new bearings. However, since I didn't like the stiffness of the boot, I decided to return these and get the 800 series which are leather-lined, in hopes they'll be less stiff after they're broken in a bit. ... show more
