I ordered two pairs of these over the summer and they are pretty much the only jeans I wear now. I am someone who cannot tolerate the annoying discomfort of tight waistbands, zippers, buttons, or rigid fabric, so I took a chance on these jeans and wasn't disappointed. What I love about these is that they are jeans but are not as constricting as regular jeans. The fabric is not flimsy, but is lighter than a typical denim, so it moves comfortably with you. I wear mine working in the garden, squatting and bending, and never have to worry about an inflexible seam or waistband cutting into me as I bend over. I also love the pockets, and they are functional... not tiny. Also, the waistband is high and falls at the true waist, which I LOVE because they hold themselves up and never ride down when bending or moving. I ordered these a size up from what I needed, just to be sure they weren't snug at all, and that worked well. In fact, I have since lost 30 pounds, and they still fit extremely comfortably without being too loose. I think these would be very forgiving during and after pregnancy or any time when one's weight is fluctuating. I will say that, at least in my case, the overall cut isn't a terribly flattering one in the abdomen because of the poofed out effect of the gathered elastic. If you are concerned about that, it's something to consider. For me, the poofy tummy area is actually a selling point because they are so comfy and my shirt always conceals that part anyway. I highly recommend these to anyone who suffers from IBS or other digestive issues that cause abdominal pain or bloating. UPDATE AFTER 1 1/2 YEARS: I still love these. I wear them frequently and they're pleasantly broken in but still holding up great. Also, I have now lost 50 lbs and am still wearing the same two pairs of jeans I originally purchased! Haha. They are loose fitting in the pant, but the waist stays in place comfortably and never falls down past my navel. I love these things.

I bought 2 pair on sale. The quality is okay, but not great. The waistband wasn't snug enough, so I decided to take them in a little, instead of returning them, since I'm between sizes. The price was low enough, and since there wasn't a smaller size available, I felt it would be better to make the adjustment. They fit much better with the slight alteration. The petite length is perfect for me at 5' 2". The denim is soft, and not too heavy.

I typically wear a size 3x or 22/24 in American sizing, and I'm short, with a 28 inch leg length so I typically have to buy petite sizing because average is too long. I read reviews and decided on size 24 petite. I was purchasing mainly to wear when gardening and hoped they would be roomy to accomdate lots of bending, squatting, etc. First off, although I bought the petite, they are way too long and fit me like average pants typically do. I double checked the tag to make sure I wasn't sent average by mistake but the tag in the pants says 24P. They are an inch (if not two) too long. The legs are roomy as is the butt but the waste is 100% elastic yet barely fits around my waste. As a result, it pulls the side pockets open in a weird and not a good way. I only paid $15 for these so it's not a major loss but I don't think they will be comfortable to garden in and I don't want to have to hem them so they will probably go to the charity shop since I've already washed them. The quality & color of the denim fabric is good for this price range and they appear to be well made otherwise.

I've been buying these Chic jeans for years and have been very satisfied with them. For the price they are great. Nice material with a little stretch and they are made well. They also wash and dry very well. Recently, however, the last two pairs I've ordered have had HUGE waistbands!!! I measured them against some of these same jeans I have in my closet that are the same brand, style and size and unstretched, they are 6 to 8 inches larger! They are so loose on me they won't stay up. (My measurements have not changed.) I had hoped that the first pair with the huge waistband was a mistake so I returned them and ordered a second pair in the same size. Just got the second pair today and the waistband is just as large as the pair I just sent back! Now trying to initiate a return and they are not liking my answers to any of their questions so I guess I'm stuck with this pair!
