Honest review would be more like a 4.5. Issue #1 Pants were way too long for me the bottom 3-4inches of the pants ended up underneath the soles of my shoes. In hindsight I should’ve bought pants made for short people like myself. Issue #2 It felt like there was more fabric in the front then in the back and by that I mean pants sat higher on my stomach. I have a pretty big bum so maybe it has something to do with that. #3 issue might have to do with the 2nd issue but I was constantly pulling up my pants and retying them. I LOVE these pants! I originally bought 2x because I thought they would run small, but it’s the opposite. I bought a petite XL and they’re a little big but I like them that way. I am 5’1” 209lbs. The XXL was way too long and big in the waist. The XL is long but not too long to wear. In the waist, I just need to tighten the drawstrings. Super comfortable and stretchy. The color is as pictured which I was thankful for. I need a particular purple for nursing school (grape). I love that they’re not low-waisted, so I can bend and squat without them falling down. There’s elastic in the waistband as well as drawstrings. I ordered a 2XL, and used my hip measurement as the main deciding factor since I was between 2 sizes. I’m glad I did that. I can always adjust the waist with the drawstrings, but if it’s too tight in the hips? Not a thing you can do. The length is perfect for me at 5’8” with a ~32” inseam (just above the floor without shoes). The only thing about them I don’t care for is the EXTRA WIDE opening at the foot. If you want something a little more tapered, these are not for you. It’s not bad enough that I’m going to send them back, but that was literally the only criticism I could come up with. ... show more

The last three times I've bought these, I've had to order a size up. The smaller size from a few years ago still fits though. I've tried ordering the smaller size a few times to see if it was maybe just a random irregularity. But, they were too tight each time.
