Description

Water spots are the mineral stains left over after a drop of water evaporates. Chemical Guys Heavy Duty Water Spot Remover uses basic chemistry to remove water spot stains and restore a spot-free shine. The specialty gel neutralizes alkaline stains with a mild acid, removing the stuck-on water stain quickly and effortlessly. If alkaline water spots are not removed quickly, the minerals can react with the paintwork and cause permanent etch marks that cannot be repaired. Heavy Duty Water Spot Remover is perfect for removing stubborn water spots from paintwork, polished metal, and wheels before they can etch deep into the surface and cause irreversible damage. Use Heavy Duty Water Spot Gel to remove water stains from lawn sprinklers, rain, puddle splashes, drain and gutter drips, bad car drying methods, and more. Simply work a small amount of Water Spot Gel into the area to neutralize and melt stuck-on water spots off the surface. Rinse down the area with soap and water or detail spray, then reapply wax and sealant to safeguard against future water spot damage. Erase water spot stains with Chemical Guys Heavy Duty Water Spot Remover Gel.

  • Removed water spots and embedded dirt
Style: SPOT REMOVER
I'm frankly surprised this stuff works as well as it does. It took a good deal of elbow grease, but I'm taking it a few square feet at a time. Eventually, I was able to completely remove the hard water spots and embedded dirt from parking next to the sprinklers for a few months. I do suggest being careful to not leave it on for too long (and neutralize it with soapy wooder.) I also noticed some very light orange stains that I eventually removed with some sanitizing wipes. Still, it's infinitely better than it was, and worked equally well on the car's paint, hubcaps, and windows/mirrors. I think I'm be able to finish the one side of the car that has the spots with a single bottle, but I'd but this product again if we're stupid enough to park by the sprinklers again. (Attached pictures show the type of water spots and dirt I was dealing with, a partially cleaned door, small section of cleaned hubcap, and a fully cleaned door. I've obviously got a lot more work to do, but I don't think it'd be possible without a product like this.) ... show more

  • Mineral water spots be gone!
Style: SPOT REMOVER
I love Chemical Guys products. I'm accustomed to their quality and consistency of effectiveness. I own their Pink wash and their wheel cleaner products and used the wheel cleaner to help break down some rust and brake pad residue that built up on a rim. That's a tough ask and while I didn't clean it 100% Chemical Guys product actually broke down about 75% of the grime and dust that was caked onto the rim. It also might be that I didn't put enough effort and elbow grease into totally cleaning it. All that as mere prelude... I love cleaning my truck. It's a black F150 and I enjoy washing it myself - especially on sunny days. I don't like paying $12 every time I take my truck to a car wash to get it "the works" and I'm not close enough to a franchise that has a monthly subscription that would let me wash my truck without having to do it myself. So here we are. The hose I use has some mineral-rich water. Even here in the Pacific Northwest, where our water is rather drinkable from the faucet/hose attachment, there's still enough iron and mineral density to eventually leave water spots on your vehicle. I finally put a filter on it but the water spots were definitely there and I couldn't get them off with using detailer or a standard, filtered rinse and wash. Finally, I came across another Chemical Guys product and after watching the proper way to use it, I immediately purchased and tried it myself. I'm still cleaning off the gel fully with a microfiber cloth (also a CG product) my black F150 looks much sharper and more glossy than ever before! I don't have a great before/after picture but I would clean my truck before and, after it dried, I'd see those pesky water circles - especially on my hood where water is more likely to stand after a wash. The sides were mostly okay but I had some slight rigidity to the paint coat because of the stuff hitting it on the road over time - that also seems to come off. I didn't have to work hard - just apply more than a trace of this stuff and work a single section (one door or half a tailgate...whatever works). Make sure you have a somewhat clean outside already - don't do this with some mud on or it hurts the effectiveness of the product. Anyways, it took me maybe 10 minutes to get the whole truck and the top windows applied and I came back 10 minutes later, wiped it all down and it was clean. Awesome product! Worth the $17 investment and it can cover multiple attempts from a single bottle. Do NOT dilute this - it's a direct application product, not a "mix with water" product. ... show more

Lots and lots of work. Doesn't work so easy on reclaimed water spots which is what I was looking for. It's a lot of work

  • Got tough water spots out
Style: SPOT REMOVER
I had terrible hard water stains on my windshield. I tried a couple of things before I bought this. This product finally did the job. I’m very pleased with how well it worked. It was easy to use. You only need to apply a small amount.

  • Works magic
Style: SPOT REMOVER
I was skeptical when I bought this for a used truck that I bought that had really bad old water spots all over the windows. It takes a bit of work to do all the windows but well worth it.

  • It does work..,but
Style: SPOT REMOVER
It will remove water stains. However, it is like putting honey on your car and trying to wipe it off. Very hard to remove the residue. I tried thinning it down with water to make it easier to work with but it wasn’t as effective. I found most common car detailing sprays. like Griots Gargage Best In Show Detailer works as well and is much easier to work with. ... show more

  • Kind of works!
Style: SPOT REMOVER
I have to say my shower door looks better but it didn’t remove all the hard water drops. We tried using it two different ways - the bottle Directions and a YouTube suggestion. Both worked about the same. It does seem to protect the glass - water runs off more. The size is worth the money but was just hoping for a completely clear glass. ... show more
