  • Chemical Guys Torq Foam Blaster 6. Quick, simple, and effective.
Style: FOAM BLASTER
Straight out of the box, the first Torq Foam Blaster 6 I purchased, leaked between the base of the black foaming wand and the green mixing head, as shown in some of the reviewer’s pictures. If yours does that, return it. I exchanged mine for another, received the replacement within 3 days, and it works perfectly, with absolutely no leaks anywhere. The device is made mostly of plastic, however the brass is actually brass, and not just aluminum sprayed with what appears to be a brass coating. Originally purchased for those quick in between car washes, I find myself reaching for it more often than not because it’s that quick, simple, and effective. I wanted to finally get rid of, so used the last of my Meguiars Gold Class soap, put the dial on 3, and this thing threw a surprising amount of suds with a soap not really designed to foam. I first rinsed, then foamed the entire car. As I washed, I could simply disconnect the container from spray nozzle, rinse vehicle, re-attach container to spray nozzle and cover entire vehicle (water causes water spots, not suds) a second time for the contact wash. It takes mere seconds to go from foaming to rinsing and back to foaming. I do saturate my mitt with suds, rinse and re-saturate said mitt for each panel, as well as re-foam each panel as I contact wash. Again, the design takes only seconds to remove and re-attach. The suds provide the lubricity to help minimize the inevitable micro-marring that comes with a contact wash. After two full passes, wash mitt saturation, and re-foaming each panel, I have just less than half a bottle of mixture left. Amazing! To be clear, this does not produce that thick shaving cream foam you get using a power washer and foam cannon; it produces SUDS. It’s good for loosening the topical contaminants, and after rinsing, the second and subsequent foaming provides lubricity for the contact wash. As for those with pictures of a broken foaming nozzle, and broken nozzle sprayer handle, c’mon man. If you’re applying enough force to break this sturdy plastic, you weren’t watching where you were planting your size 14 foot, or you’re doing it really really wrong. Even though I own a power washer and two very good foam cannons, the simplicity, ease of use, and effectiveness of this little jewel has me reaching for it time and time again. I haven’t had the o-ring blow out on me, but if it does, I’m prepared with a replacement. I can’t speak for the nylon quick connect that comes with the Torq, in that I use a brass quick connect with shutoff valve on hose end, and put a cheap orange big box store, aluminum brass colored male quick connect on spray nozzle, with absolutely no leaks. Caveat: The cheap quick connects wear out quickly. I can easily disconnect whole foam gun assembly, and replace it with your wife’s favorite 7 function spray nozzle. I’m very pleased with my purchase of the Chemical Guys Torq Foam Blaster 6. ... show more

  • Great Product even with my crappy setup!!
Style: EQP324
Let’s address the complainers and the other reviewers who actually have some facts wrong. Some people complain about the clear plastic cracking when they drop it. That’s like complaining that your fender gets dented when you run into a power pole. Don’t want a crack? Don’t drop it. Simple. The fact that things break when they are dropped is NOT a flaw. It is a fact of life. Some people complain that it’s too expensive for what it is? Really? Then don’t buy it. Nobody is forcing you. The rest of us don’t need to hear your opinions on how everything should come to you on your terms. One guy said that you “had to have the Snubby Spray Foam Gun Attachment.” No. No you don’t. I don’t have it. It works great on my regular pressure washer wand. Granted I’ll probably get a Snubby eventually. But you do NOT have to have it. Lastly, somebody complained that it only works with a pressure washer. Well no poop Sherlock. It’s right there in the description. That’s like complaining that a stand alone freezer doesn’t work as a refrigerator. Here’s a helpful tip. Buy the tool based on what it says it does, not based on what you think or wish it does. Now, my crappy setup. I have really low water flow at my house. It’s an old house. If I hook my pressure washer up to my outdoor spigot, it pulses. Builds pressure then loses it. Over and over. So, I fill a rain barrel with water. On that barrel I have a small transfer pump that moves 3.3 gallons a minute. I use this to feed my pressure washer that puts out 1.4 gallons a minute at up to 1,800 psi. This foam cannon works beautifully in spite of my awful setup! (And at the end of my spray wand too, in case you forgot that you don’t have to have the Snubby!). Do I have a problem with the bottle tipping over or falling? Nope. When I’m done spraying, I disconnect it. You don’t need to continuously go back and re-foam the car. Foam it once and you’re done with the foam. So disconnect the foam cannon and put it safely aside. Easy breeze. And no cracked bottles either! Whoa! Bonus!! Do I think it’s too expensive? No. I bought it and I live within my means. And I respect someone else’s right to make a product and sell it for what they determine is fair compensation for their intellect, time, raw material, and labor. They get to decide that. I don’t. I only get to choose to buy or not buy. I’m I hurt that it doesn’t connect to my garden hose? Nope. But to be fair, I can’t even run a garden sprinkler well from my garden hose. So, there’s that… So, it’s a good product in my opinion. Buy the product that they are selling, not the product you think it ought to be. Do those things and you’ll be happier than all the negative nancies who can only feel good about themselves when they are trying to cancel someone else. Great product. Good value. I’ll buy it again when this one breaks! ... show more

  • Great Function; Poor Quality Bottle
Style: EQP324
Overall, this sprayer is fantastic. As most of the reviews state, it’s great. The adjustability, build quality (sprayer only), and foam coverage and throw. I have absolutely loved washing my 4Runner and 2500 HD since I purchased this sprayer. HOWEVER, I dropped the sprayer while washing them yesterday and the bottle cracked wide open at the neck. I was actually quite surprised because the build quality on the actual sprayer portion is so good. It is obviously a cost-cutting decision and there could be some quality control issues with the manufacturer. Regardless, I went to the Chemical Guys website and read several other people saying the same thing happened to them. I’ve owned exactly two Nalgene bottles and have used them every day for the last 10 years. I drop them occasionally and have never had one crack open like the sprayer bottle did. It would be great if a wide mount Nalgene would fit into the sprayer, then problem solved. ... show more

  • Good quaity foam cannon
Style: FOAM BLASTER
I used this foam gun at least two times in the past week and had a lot of fun. Will definitely be going to The Chemical Guys for my car maintenance needs from now on.

  • Mediocre quality
Style: FOAM BLASTER
This lasted almost two years with maybe 20x of use. There had been minor leaks from the first day I used it, but nothing worth sending back. It recently started leaking very badly and realized the inner body of the spray nozzle had a 3 inch crack and the rubber seal in the nose of this product was significantly warped and leaking as well. I suppose you can't expect too much from a $50 foam cannon, but it would be nice to have the option to be able to replace the spray nozzle instead of having to purchase an entirely new unit. ... show more
