On some online forums and YouTube channels, I've heard people talk trash about Chemical Guys products. I don't know why people sometimes hate on Chemical Guys. I've used this car wash soap now for a few years (this wasn't my first bottle), and I love the results. It foams nicely, smells good, and leaves my cars nice and clean. I'm not a pro auto detailer or anything--but I do know how to wash a car, use a clay bar, use a DA orbital polisher to complete a two-step paint correction, spray with an alcohol mix to get rid of any polish residues, and finally apply and maintain a ceramic coating. I've never had an issue with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss car wash soap. For me, one of these 16oz bottles lasts a while--maybe I'm not using enough per wash. I recently bought a foam canon, and haven't tried it yet. If it works well with the Citrus Wash & Gloss, I might pick up a 1 gallon jug. Car wash soaps are less harsh than dishwashing soaps--and specially formulated to help extend the life of your paint, wash to wash. If you love your car, and want the paint to last a while and stay in nice shape--then I recommend you use a car wash soap like Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss. I googled top car wash soaps and found this Chemical Guys product and purchased it. All I can say is that it is fantastic and it works and cleans very well and I TOTALLY recommend it. What I suggest is to NEVER wash your car under the sun. If possible wash under a cloudy day or under the shade and after putting and rubbing the soap on wait five minutes or so and then wash it off, specially if your car had a bit of that thick dirt on it. If your car is not that dirty sure just go ahead and wash it off right away. I personally don't need to make the 1oz per five gallons because five gallons is simply too much for my Toyota Sienna van so all I did was pour a little bit into the bucket and then poured the water on it. The first time I did this I put too little soap because my scrubber brush was not creating enough soapy bubbles on the car so I added a little bit more and that did it for me. If you use this product and then wax your car after your car will look amazing. I am glad I found this product for washing my cars and I don't see the need in buying anything else. First off - I'm very happy with the quality of this soap. I own a 6 yr old white Nissan Versa which has become stripped of wax over the years. I've tried every brand under the sun - Zymol, Meguiar's, ArmorAll, Mother's, Turtle Wax... you name it! I actually feel that for a white car, all the common store brands did a terrible job of upkeeping the carnauba wax I had on the car. After a wash of this Chemical Guys soap, I was thrilled. It put some shine back onto my car and with a wax, buff, polish and another wash round with this soap, my car has regained some of its old glossy shine. I'd say it's also the longest lasting soap I've used! To be fair, I waxed it with Meguiar's White Wax paste, which I also lend to the fact that the soap worked so well for my car. I definitely recommend that combo though. The car was washed about a month ago and still is clean while sitting on the driveway under a tree and exposed to winter rain and frost. I also washed my mom's white Kia Forte with this soap with the same results. I'm planning to purchase the gallon size of this once this 16oz bottle runs out. The citrus scent is a plus! Highly recommend this soap, specifically for white cars that need a little extra TLC. ... show more

I wouldn't say this is very effective as a strip wash these days (at one point it was) but I use it as my maintenance wash on my ceramic coating and it does very well, really slick, foams well in the cannon, no complaints, really hasn't impacted my coating negatively and I will most likely buy it again at this price once I run out. It does tend to separate tho after sitting for 2 weeks, it mixes back together tho quickly (especially once you've used a little) when the bottle is nearly full it takes a little bit longer to mix but after using it a few times there is enough empty space where a few wrist flicks mixes it well, felt it was worth mentioning tho. ... show more

I have started getting all my car detailing stuff from Chemical guys because of this product! Their Citrus gloss car soap coupled with the Butter Wet Wax gets results like I show in the photo( that is the roof of my car reflecting like a mirror) every time. Smells great, easy to apply and low dust during removal. Bonus is it wears like Iron, you don't need to apply it as often as some of the other store bought products I have used. it also seems that there is a lot less of the product needed to get the desired results. Update: So I gave this soap a second chance and it’s been doing great. It still doesn’t smell like citrus at all but it leaves a nice gloss to the car. No streaking and it gets all the grime off. Still wouldn’t recommend with a foam canon over mr.pink but it does great for use in a two bucket method. Pros 1. Leaves car shiny Cons 1. Product does not smell like citrus 2. Product produces little foam in foam canon 3. Foam is really thin and slides right off the car 4. Have to use a lot of the soap compared to Mr. pink 5. Doesn’t mix with the water in the foam cannon 6. The product separates in the bottle so you have to shake vigorously before using ... show more

The bottle is leaking when I received. Updated, Amazon send a replacement to me today. Unfortunately it leaks as well. Also, half of the bottle is oil like clear fluid. I have no idea what is that. If anyone knows whether it is normal or not please let me know.
