I was skeptical after i watch reviews and videos, some people were saying i wouldn’t do a thing some others would make pretty positive comments, at the end i decided to do my own opinion so far what would be the lost , throw some money? Sure, but at the end from my personal perspective it did an awesome job, it did cleaned my old sealants and wax from my car, i even used the leftover to wash my few used polishing pads and also i was able to clean it, I make a note, that my old polishing pads i had tried to wash them with different detergents including the dish washer soap with no luck, I, am very happy with my purchase with no regrets of my money well expended, in my case i noted the difference after i washed my car even when i had done my hood sealant and polishing without using any removal solutions prior to the application, only to my dismay my polishing pad got cloaked almost when i was half polishing my hood, then i stopped and ordered the sealant and wax remover, recommend this product with my eye closed, ... show more

Clean slate seems like it does what it describes as removes previous polishes and protection applied on the vehicle paint. The ratio I believe needs to be doubled when using it in combination with a foam gun for better coverage and application. The one thing I wanted and expected was that the quantity of the soap is better filled to the quantity of the container. The packaging could be better to prevent leaks. I think having clean slate is a great product to have in your detailing arsenal. This product is used for wiping all your oils, waxes sealant and more off the clear coat. How I use this product is first I use a citrus car soap that’s cleans the dirt and grime off the top of the paint so you your working with a clean surface. Next then I will use clean slate to wipe all the old waxes and what ever protective products you have on your vehicle. After this step, is when you would want to do some paint corrections like swirls or scratches. Once you fix those, you can put your protective layers on like waxes and sealants. This is why I think it’s important to have this product so you are starting fresh on your clear coat instead of trapping old waxes and sealants in your paint that is probably holding dirty and debris in it. This doesn’t allow your paint to fully show off its full color and not allowing your hard work be shown off. ... show more

I didn’t see much of a difference, my paint job was still hydrophobic after putting a ton of this in my foam cannon and I also squirted some on top of the foam straight out the bottle. I probably put one fourth maybe one third of the bottle in the foam cannon and after I applied it straight on top of the foam I had less then a half bottle left and with all that amount I used,, like I said my paint was still hydrophobic it’s been over a year since I applied any waxes, sealants, polishes. I over applied this product and still nothing. I’m a huge chemical guys fan and some of their products truly aren’t that good and this is one of the products. I won’t buy this again. ... show more

Seems to work exactly as advertised. I used mine to strip the remaining protectant off my girlfriends car (doubt there was much left anyway) but also to remove some relatively mild tree secretion (not quite as sticky as sap, not sure what to call it) as well. The paint was very obviously stripped of all remaining protectant, and I was able to get the stuff from the tree off of it as well. I did NOT use it in a foam cannon, just the standard two bucket method with a microfiber hand mitt. I followed it up with clay bar (while the car was wet, before drying) and then my go-to last step product. Perfect wash for getting down to a bare finish on your car for paint correction or just a full detail. I've used it several times on my Mustang California Special and the wife's Kia Optima (2 different manufacturers, which generally will have slightly different paint) and have had no issues. It definitely removed the wax and sealants on the car, but was safe on the clear coat. The scent is kind of lemony, but I'm buying this for the job it does, not because of how it smells, though most Chemical Guys products smell amazing! Used this, then iron removal spray, clay bar, 2-step C4-P4 polish, glossworks glaze, jet seal, and topped with cherry wet wax, and the results were just stunning! ... show more
