I tried this out because I live in Florida and my wipers, even after replacing, we’re having a hard time completely clearing my windshield. After applying this, I hardly have to use my wipers as the water just beads and rolls right off. Great product for a good price. Will last a long time also.

By using a textured towel first to debride the window and apply CG HydroView then wipe remaining liquid it works best and instantly, can FEEL the difference. Make sure to clean wiper blades too. Durability is unclear since I apply it after every was and when the windows are Full of bugs but at least 2 weeks. I know it is present by how slick the window feels. Much easier to apply and REMOVE than RainX and has not strong alcohol smell. ... show more

This stuff works great on outside of windows but not that great on inside very hard to get it clear without smudges, on outside works great water runs right off and keeps glass cleaner longer. For me i'll stick to strict free window cleaner from Chemical guy works best on inside Hope that helps

    • It does work but…
First of all I want to start with the water repellency, it rained not long after I applied the Hydro View to the windshield, door windows and rear hatch glass, the water did bead off as expected and it was a quick process to apply and buff the glass but my only issue is since it rained as mentioned, it sort of created a haze or glare while the wipers are motion, I could only hope the glare would eventually disappear over time when it rains more and the wipers are in motion. Update: after a couple of days gone by with rain and running the wipers the glare and streaks have cleared up, one thing to keep in mind is by making sure during the application process is to apply with a microfiber cloth or a clean cotton cloth then let it dry as if you were applying wax or polish to the vehicle body then buff with another clean microfiber or cotton cloth, I wouldn’t recommend buffing with polyester or similar as it will definitely leave streaks or haze and create glare. ... show more

So easy to use and works very well. You have to wash your glass you might as well apply a layer of protection at the same time. I drive to work everyday and knowing all my windows and mirrors have this hydrophobic treatment is peace of mind when you drive through rain or raid spray.

This works as it’s supposed to, just be careful to absorb all the excess when wiping off as it dries it streaks and you can get it off for a bit

    • It's expensive. Does not handle weather changes.
It's OK at best. If you live where it's 78 degrees everyday. Perfect product. If you temperature fluctuates. It will not work properly. It will steak. It will fog up. (YES ON THE OUTSIDE) it's hard to strip off. It's not worth it. MUCH better products out. WAY over priced. Way underperformed compared to other similar products. Facts are facts! ... show more
