Description

The Foam Pad Conditioning Brush is a heavy duty cleverly designed brush that cleans and reconditions foam buffing pads. The ergonomic shape of the Foam Pad Conditioning Brush makes it easy to apply to any high quality pad. The tough construction of this brush stands up to constant use. When used, buffing and polishing pads start to accumulate products. Waxes, polishes and compounds that are left on pads for extended periods of time are absorbed into the foam cell structure of the pad and can become "caked in". "Caked in" or dry product can scratch surfaces and limit the proper usage of the foam pad. Regular cleaning and proper care will keep your pads in premium shape to deliver superior results every time you use them. The Foam Pad Conditioning Brush is made with a set of stiff bristles that easily pull caked and dried product out of the foam pad. The specially shaped handle makes it comfortable to grip and keeps your hand away from the spinning buffer. Simply hold the buffer upside down and place the brush on the dirty pad as it spins. The brush will quickly clean the pad and restore its texture so you can continue buffing. No more stopping to replace a pad halfway through buffing your vehicle. Similar steel brushes are made for cleaning wool pads but cannot be used on foam pads. The Foam Pad Conditioning Brush is designed for cleaning foam pads but can also be used on wool pads. After using the Foam Pad Conditioning Brush, be sure to rinse the brush and let it dry before using it on another pad. The Foam Pad Conditioning Brush is a great time-saving device and will instantly become an asset in your detailing kit.

  • Good brush once you learn how to use it properly.
Overall all it is a great brush. Things to note: It could be a little softer, but the stiffness comes into play when lightly agitating dirty pads in order to clean them in warm water. Also at first I also thought that the brush was to stiff, but I began to think about it and play with the brush and then I said to myself..."Why don't you just hold the bristles and brush at an angel so that the bristles are partially facing the direction that the polisher is spinning (facing away from your body!) " and boom. Works as intended just learn to control the pressure that you use to hold it against the pad while it is spinning or else. 👍 ... show more

  • Way Too Stiff
This brush is way too stiff to use on the sensitive polishing pads. I tried it on the black pad and it tore my pad after only 1 use. Why would they sell such a stiff brush? Are they trying to tear your pads so you have to buy new ones? Sad but possibly true. Take my advice: if you do you use the brush, use it very lightly or better yet just use a citrus cleaner and warm water. I would not and can not recommend this product. ... show more

  • Don’t waste your money
I received this piece of junk only to find out that it was use once then throw it away. I used it to clean my buffing pad. When I got done there was three little clusters left. It would cost more to send it back. A very unsati

  • Works great! It may wear down the pads a little ...
This brush is a must have for pad polishing.. I use it every time before starting a new section. For me, it's really not practical to completely wet clean the pad or have a stack of 12 clean pads when polishing. After working the polish once or twice, I crank up the speed and let the brush get rid of all the old dry polish and or paint. Works great! It may wear down the pads a little faster, but they do come clean; part of the cost of paint correction IMO. Plus, the handle sits well in a pocket with the brush sticking out so you can pull it out and use it often. Just a brush, but I'm glad I bough it. ... show more

  • Works good to keep pads fresh
This works as expected to keep buildup off of pad. I use it after every few panels or when an excess of build up gets on pad to renew the condtion. It will wear down the pad a bit if used too often or putting too much pressure on it, although if not then it wouldn't work well.

  • It works
The brush works great for cleaning my buffing pads and it seems like it’s durable enough that it will be with me for a while. My only issue with this brush is the same as all the others, these things should only cost a couple of bucks, they’re just cheap pieces of plastic, but like most things in the detail world, be it pads, chemicals, or these brushes, there’s a price for admission so I suppose it’s just part of the deal. ... show more

  • Great Brush!
Use it all over the interior. A very handy tool. Not big on Chemical Guys in general, but this has been a good deal. I'll update over time, let's see how it holds up.

  • Must have
If you apply compound or cleaner wax and use a microfiber cutting disc. You need this product after each pass to help the pad continue working product into the paint but also reduce the dust the product will release if you don't. So save yourself the time and money. If your going to spend the time to compound and do a paint correction do it right ... show more
