I usually wear a XXL jacket, but most reviews recommended going down a size. Thank you reviewers! The XL fits nicely with plenty of room. The construction is quite sturdy, while still looking sharp. I'm not a professional chef, but cooking is one of my favorite things to do. When I'm in the kitchen whipping up meals, sometimes the ingredients can get a little out of control. I've tried wearing countless different aprons, but I found them all uncomfortable and cumbersome. So one day, while watching the Food Network, a light bulb went on in my head: Hey, I can wear a cool chef coat just like the professional chefs do! I'm not sure why it took me so long to figure that out, but I'm glad I did. I went on the Amazon site and found this Red Kap coat, ordered it, and the rest is history. I can now cook without having to worry about getting stains and spatters on my clothes...and look cool, too!! I love everything about this coat, including the handy front pocket and the thermometer pocket on the sleeve. If you love to cook, grab yourself one of these coats and ditch your apron. This was a gift for my middle grandson, 16 yrs, who likes to cook at home. I put an appliqué with his name over the pocket. He was really surprised and tickled. That mean a lot—it is so hard to please kids these days. He looks really nice in it, too. Very professional.
