Description

The Champion Power Equipment 3500-Watt Inverter Generator with CO Shield® is ultra-quiet and ideal for camping, tailgating, powering items around the RV, or providing backup for your essentials. Champion’s EZ Start Dial makes getting started quick and easy. Featuring Cold Start Technology, the reliable 122cc Champion engine produces 3500 starting watts and 2300 running watts, and runs for 10 hours at 25% load when the 1.2-gallon fuel tank is full. With a 0.4-quart oil capacity (included 10W-30) and a low oil shut-off sensor, this inverter operates at an ultra-quiet 58 dBA from 23 feet, which is about as loud as normal speech. The no tool access panel allows for easy maintenance. Confidently connect your sensitive electronics since this inverter produces Clean Power (less than 3% THD). Our Quick Touch Panel offers fast access to all your controls. The Intelligauge with Power Meter monitors voltage, frequency and operating hours with ease, while Economy Mode monitors power consumption in real time to reduce engine wear and tear. As the electrical load is reduced, the inverter reduces engine speed, providing quieter operation, extended engine life and higher fuel economy. The covered outlets included are a 120V 20A household duplex outlet (5-20R), a 12V automotive- style outlet, and a handy dual port USB adapter The optional Parallel Kit (sold separately) allows you to increase output by connecting up to two 2800-watt or higher inverters. The never flat tires and telescoping handle make transport a cinch. Buy this EPA certified inverter generator with confidence – Champion Support and our nationwide network of service centers will back up your purchase with a 3-year limited warranty and FREE lifetime technical support. CO Shield® technology monitors the accumulation of carbon monoxide (CO), a poisonous gas produced by engine exhaust when the generator is running. If CO Shield® detects unsafe elevated levels of CO gas, it automatically shuts off the engine. CO Shield® is not a substitute for an indoor carbon monoxide alarm or for safe operation. DO NOT allow engine exhaust fumes to enter a confined area through windows, doors, vents or other openings. Generators must ALWAYS be used outdoors, far away from occupied buildings with engine exhaust pointed away from people and buildings. Meets the requirements of ANSI/PGMA G300-2018.

  • Replaced a big bulky Predator 2500 and am not looking back
Size: 2500-Watt, Dual Fuel
First trip with the Champion went really smooth. I'm using it for the thirstier appliances in our RV trailer - microwave, electric fridge and AC, the rest is handled by our newly installed solar setup. This Champion replaced a dying Predator 2500 which was heavy, dirty barely running and leaking oil by the end. I'm going to try to keep the Champion only on propane so it stays clean and can be stored in the trailer. Assembly was easy, poured the oil it came with, hooked up the propane regulator it came with and it started cold on the second pull. Ran it on variable lighter loads as recommended for a while to "break it in". During the trip everything worked as expected, no drama. Started cold in 2-3 pulls, despite me sporting a nasty case of tennis elbow. Ran smoothly and quietly on propane. Almost hard to believe how light and small it is compared to what I am used to. Lifts with one hand, easy to stash in the truck or trailer, secure and comes with everything needed to get it going. Will report if anything odd develops in future camping trips, but I doubt it, it feels well built and quality. ... show more

  • Always Five Stars for Champion
Size: 2500-Watt, Dual Fuel
What a great generator! This is my third Champion; one was stolen, and the other I gave away. All of them have performed flawlessly. They are always easy to start and run like a sewing machine, and this generator is no different. I love the propane fuel option. Also, there is very little effort required to pull start the generator. I assume it has a compression release system. It is incredible how small and light these newer inverter generators are. I also own a Champion electric/remote start 4500, but it is too heavy to haul around for camping. I also own a Yamaha 2500 watt generator that is twice the size and weight of this Champion and costs more than twice as much. This Champion generator checks all of the boxes for me. ... show more

  • Sounds good. Easy to set up.
Size: 2500-Watt, Dual Fuel
So far, so good. I really like that it can run on propane. You can store propane probably forever. I have only run this on propane, and do not plan on running on gasoline. It is a little hard to get started. I follow the instructions and start in the choke position. Then 4 or 5 easy pulls. Then to the propane run position. 4 or 5 really strong pulls. Then back to the choke position and repeat. Eventually it starts. It seems to run a little ragged until a load is put on it, or take it out of eco mode. I changed the plug to the NGK, but did not improve running. I changed the oil to a synthetic oil after the break in period. No change. I may try adjusting the valves. I only plan on running this when we lose grid power, and I need to charge our solar batteries. I live in the PNW, and we do lose power several times a year. Nice to have another backup! ... show more

  • Great little Generator
Size: 2500-Watt, Dual Fuel
We live in an area that gets yearly tropical storms so we needed a generator. We used this generator for our fridge and lights during the last hurricane. It worked great. We like that it is duel fuel, easy to carry and that you can connect it to another generator to up the power. We ended up buying a second one to do just that, since we bought a portable a/c for the next storm. ... show more

  • Duel fuel and somewhat quiet
Size: 2500-Watt, Dual Fuel
Perfect for our camping needs. We used it a few times where we had no juice in VT state parks. I rigged it up to use the on board propane tanks on our 30 ft trailer via the griddle gas output(with a slight mod), so with the wonderful dual fuel option, no need to tote an extra gas tank. It is light and compact enough that I can one hand it into the trailer storage or put in back of the truck. It starts up easily. The generator noise is moderate especiallywhen taxxing from heavy loading. I beleive I was able to run the AC unit with this also. ... show more

  • Plenty of quiet power
Size: 2500-Watt, Dual Fuel
First, I was impressed by the detailed instructions and everything you need to get the unit running, oil, and even a funnel to add oil. They thought of the little things, like the handy clip for the LP cord to organize the kit. The unit starts easily and is quiet on eco mode even when outputting 1,000 watts. My only complaint is the unit is bogging down and stops charging my Eco Flow Delta Pro at around 1,100 watts but Champion rates this model for more than 1,800 run time. Maybe I need a shorter cord. ... show more

  • Nice and quiet and terribly heavy
Size: 2500-Watt, Dual Fuel
It is a Champion after all. It's quiet, doesn't weigh a ton and has duel fuel. We got this for camping and for our freezer when power goes out. Great price and got to us in good time

  • Extremely Frustrating – Constant Shutdowns from CO Sensor
Size: 2500-Watt, Dual Fuel
I purchased the Champion 2500W inverter generator from Amazon and unfortunately have had a very poor experience with it so far. Since the day I received it, I have rarely been able to keep it running for more than about five minutes at a time before it shuts itself off. The generator consistently trips the CO sensor shutdown, even in situations where there is clearly no CO accumulation risk. I’ve tested it in multiple open environments, including placing it in the middle of an empty parking lot with nothing around it and orienting it with the wind blowing the exhaust away from the unit. Despite that, it still shuts down after a few minutes. The only time I was able to keep it running somewhat longer was when I aimed a fan directly at the exhaust to blow it away from the CO sensor, which obviously isn’t a practical solution. Even then, it would still periodically shut down and require restarting. I’ve tried running it on both gasoline and propane, and the issue occurs with both fuels. For comparison, I also own a refurbished Westinghouse 4500 iGen dual-fuel inverter generator, and that unit runs perfectly with none of these problems. So this doesn’t appear to be an issue with how I’m operating generators. I have submitted a warranty claim with Champion, so I will soon find out how good their customer service is. If they resolve the issue, I’ll update this review accordingly. If they can’t fix it, I’ll likely throw it away and replace it with a better unit. As my dad used to say: “Buy cheap, buy twice.” I will update this review once there is a final resolution. ... show more
