The Champion Power Equipment 201194 9200-Watt Dual Fuel Portable Generator is the perfect combination of versatility and convenience. Whether you need power for your home or next project, Champion Power Equipment makes powering your life more convenient than ever. The convenient electric start includes a battery, plus Cold Start Technology ensures a quick start in cold weather. Easily monitor power output and track maintenance intervals with Intelligauge, which allows you to keep track of voltage, frequency and run-time hours. Designed with a low oil shut-off switch, this unit includes 1.2-quarts of 10W-30 oil. Operate your Dual-Fuel generator right out of the box on gasoline or propane, and easily switch fuels with our patented fuel select dial that allows for safe switching between fuel sources. Using gasoline, the 459cc Champion engine produces 11,500 starting watts and 9200 running watts, and will run for 10 hours at 50% load when the 7.7-gallon fuel tank is full. It produces 10,350 starting watts and 8280 running watts, and will run for 5 hours at 50% load when using a 20-pound propane tank. Also included is a 6.5-foot propane hose with a built-in regulator. With a noise level of 74 dBA from 23 feet, which is a bit louder than a vacuum, this machine can provide home backup in an outage, plus the Volt Guard™ protects your generator from electrical voltage spikes. All the outlets have covers for protection and include 120/240V 30A locking outlet (L14-30R), a 120/240V 38A outlet (L14-50R) as well as two 120V 20A GFCI protected household duplex outlets (5-20R). I have only run it for about an hour on propane. It was easy to set up and get running. I love the dual fuel option, and the electric start. I haven’t had to use it with a power failure yet, but I have no doubt it will work great.

As my title says, it's huge. Don't expect to be able to get this thing into the back of a pickup without two other dudes. That being said, it's got a nice handle as in on 4 good wheels making it easy to move around wherever you are. Started right up out of the box on gasoline, and the same when i switched over to propane. time will tell as far as durability, but i have 2 of champions smaller 2k watt quiet generators and the parallel kit for them and have never had a problem. As far as noise goes, its not as bad as i was expecting. the equivalent honda is quieter...but is also a few extra grand. ... show more

Although I like the Inverter style, This has the power and Dual fuel I want. I only use Propane which keeps the Carb clean and is No muss, no fuss.

My 4 year old champion 9400 watt generator has a larger diameter frame and this new one has two butt joints at the bottom of the frame on both sides. Didn't notice the lame welds until I put oil in and started it on propane. Looks to me like champion has lowered the bar. Too bad, I have two other gensets and have always spoken highly of them. Just bought this item. Very easy to set up. Uses propane or gas, same tank as grill. Ran it for about 2-3 hours using propane. Electric start makes it easy to use. easily ran everything I use. Was not very loud. Glad I bought it. My model # 201083 Electric start 8500W dual fuel gas or propane. Looks the same as picture shown, but a smaller generator. ... show more

Own a two year old Champion that provides the same output. Thanks to Hurricane Ian, that $^#%@, I spent eight days without power. Thinking that we might get a little bit of surf I brought the generator into my house before Ian arrived. Much to my surprise when I returned to my house I found that the generator and my house had been buried under 20" of water. With nothing to loose I used a can of WD40 on the generator, changed the oil, dried out the air filter and empty the muffler of water and the generator fired up and ran flawlessly for eight days. Both the electrical generator and engine were completely submerged in flood water, the control panel remained dry. I would give Champion 10 out of 5 stars. ... show more
