  • Small, very lightweight & super-quiet
Style: 2500-Watt + Gas Pattern Name: Generator
I was at the race track (dry camping). I had an issue with my solar charging system and it would not maintain a charge overnight. Luckily I had a friendly neighbor who shared & connected me to his Champion 3100 Generator. It worked great running his AC and powering my Class B - that's why I chose Champion. After seeing his 3100, I felt a 2500/1850 would suit my needs and thus I chose this model. This unit has a small [dare I say "tiny"] footprint & is lightweight (it's hard to believe it's a 2500/1850). Most importantly, it's very quiet (even under a load) - it sounds like a white noise machine (it won't disturb you OR your neighbors). I haven't yet run it out of gas, so I cannot attend to the run time. I bought a quart of Royal Purple Break-in Oil {for the initial 5-hour break-in period) and I also bought a magnetic dipstick that I leave in full-time (to remove potential residual metal shavings inside the engine during break-in & as a safety measure after break-in). My only slight negative: the pull-start recoil is initially a bit finicky. The instructions say to pull it a couple of times until you feel resistance. What it doesn't say - once you feel resistance you cannot release any slack - you must immediately pull it hard to start. After a couple of tries, I realized what I was doing wrong and it started-up immediately. Overall, I'm extremely happy. IF my opinion changes, I'll come back and update my review. ... show more

  • Nice and quiet - great fuel economy
Style: 2500-Watt + Gas Pattern Name: Generator
This is our third year of having a Keystone travel trailer parked on our lot where we're building our home. We're doing things the hard way by milling our own lumber, doing all our own earthwork, etc., so there's lots of time spent there. For years we just traveled from our house 1.5 miles away, but the trailer really allows us to eat there and have facilities. But with our solar setup, the 120v things in the trailer don't work like phone chargers, the microwave and, most importantly, the air conditioning. While we don't have lots of days where A/C is needed, we're excited to be able to enjoy that without being able to hear the generator outside over the A/C on the inside. The first time I used this was when I needed to do some work-from-home work while my husband was working on a project outside but needed me occasionally. Nice, constant power. Very fuel efficient. Easily did 6 to 7 hours with a gallon of gasoline. Edit to add: We are doing construction work up on this woodlot and have "relied" for years on a BIG Generac (the biggest portable Generac Amazon sells). It's constantly breaking and having electronics fail. Right now one of the rectifiers is shot so it's not charging the battery. That thing is big and heavy and so we run extension cords for it for our saw. We grabbed our new little Champion and what a difference. All we're running is a 12" DeWalt chop saw. It doesn't take any longer for the saw to get up to speed on this little generator. We can easily talk over it. It's super easy to shut down between cutting times. Our fuel economy difference between this one and letting the big Generac run all day will pay for this generator before the summer is out! And we still get to use it to run the AC in our camper! ... show more

  • Easy to use and kept the light on and the fridge running in a hurricane.
Style: 2500-Watt + Gas Pattern Name: Generator
Happy to have this when Ian hit FL. Not a ton of places to plug things but it kept the fridge on and a light and a fan. We unplugged the fan to charge the phone. Worked for hours without needing to refill it. Not too heavy, easy to move around. Clear directions and great YouTube videos on it to show you what to do. ... show more

  • Great generator
Style: 2500-Watt + Gas Pattern Name: Generator
Used while camping with travel trailer. My over-night power needs are modest . . lighting, some TV and fan of a LPG furnace. Starts with ONE pull! Very quiet 53 decibles. Disappointed there is NO mention of "break-end" procedure in owners manual! After first oil change (supposed to be at 5 hours) . . . I ran tests and found it to run ~10 hours (1.1 Gallon) at light load (180 watts). Note: a small portable heater draws 1500 watts. Don't expect it to run A/C. Read description carefully! STARTING wattage is 2500 while the "running" capacity is 1850. Recommend: use NON-ethanol fuel, follow maintenance schedule, ensure level ground and follow instructions when turning off to prevent carburetor gum up. ... show more

  • Like it so well I bought another
Style: 2500-Watt + Gas Pattern Name: Generator
I just bought my second 2500W Inverter as I liked the first one a lot. This makes my fourth Champion Generator since 2005 and all four are still running great. Each has a different use. My two 2500W Inverter generators are now traveling with me and powering a 15.5K BTU air conditioner while connected with a Champion Paralink adapter. Each is light enough to easily lift into my truck. Not only are the generators great, Champion Customer Service is the best I've encountered among all the ones I've dealt with over the years. I have only had to contact a few times for minor questions but their staff has been able to answer my needs quickly and accurately. When it comes to great products and service---------Champion definitely delivers. I see no reason to even consider other brands should I need another generator. ... show more

  • Update: Love this Generator
Style: 2500-Watt + Gas Pattern Name: Generator
Update: Used for 2.5 days due to hurricane Ian power outage and it worked great! Lasted 11 hours plus on full tank. Burns very little gas. Very happy! I'll come back and change my rating after having it for a while. I like what I see so far. Easy to set up, got it up and running with little effort. Plugged in a 12 Cup Mr. Coffee Coffee Maker and no problems! That was the most important thing to me if I lose power... will it start my coffee pot and will I be able to run my refrigerator. Noise isn't too bad. It isn't quiet so don't be fooled by the description; it is probably just quieter than a larger regular generator. More to come, but happy so far. ... show more
