Thick fabric, true to length/waist, good stretch. Probably could’ve gone down a size, but bought large according to sizing chart,(He’s between a 34”and a 36” waist). Good for warmth and casual wear, but probably too warm for workouts.

I've purchased these Champion sweat pants multiple times in the past (same size - Large), and always enjoyed them; they had a loose and comfortable fit, with high-quality materials and standards. However, this latest pair that I bought are not the same. The quality is still high, the pants are well-made. But the fit is much tighter in the lower legs, too tight in my opinion. When I stand up, there's a small amount of looseness in the lower legs, but when I sit down they go skin-tight in the knees and calves. Every other area of the pants still fit fine (seat, hips, waist), so I don't think I need a larger size. I'm assuming it's just the style they chose to employ. And while I understand that it's currently trendy to have tight-fitting lower legs in trousers, I personally want a looser fit when it comes to athletic clothing. Working out is about *moving* freely, and in these pants, my legs feel restricted. ... show more
