I used this product to cover up spots on a first day of school chalkboard that was not designed for liquid chalk pens. It went on smooth, needed two coats, some visible lines remain when you inspect closely. The liquid pens wipe right off with no issues.

I used it over a wall that was already a dark purple but it went on smooth and easy. Dried quick and then I did some touchups where it looked like it might be too thin. Now my nephew wants me to get a can for him! Instead of a brush or roller I used one of those sponge like things Not a sponge but has a texture on it like a roller but is flat. This paint has worked out well for our outside chalkboard project. We bought a pretty large board for this so I bought 2 cans of this paint. It was hard to find a brand that clearly states "exterior approved" and has good ratings, this one is good for both interior and exterior. Paints on easily, used 1 ½ cans for 3 coats.
