I have mixed feelings about this product. I bought this item to keep my daily to-do list at work, and save on sticky notes. I’ve had other Boogie Boards, but this one is the most responsive. It really does a great job. Here are some things that I think are either good to know, or wasn’t clear to me when I purchased: 1. This thing is VERY light, and plastic feeling. It does feel like it could break pretty easily. I’d be careful with it. 2. Go ahead and splurg for the 12$ case made by the same company. It is great quality, adds a little weight to the product, and protects the screen if you aren’t quite ready to erase what you’ve written. 3. The templates that come with this product are great, but don't hold very well on the back of the product. The writing surface is actually translucent, and you put the template behind it. If it isnt perfectly flat it has trouble. I had to tape the template down flat so it would not warp where the template ‘dots’ are as the template moves around. The additional case does help hold the templates in, but I’m still glad it’s taped. 4. The erasing feature works, but it isn’t perfect. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to have but if you’re a little OCD about erasing things and it being perfect, I’d use something else. 5. The ability to lock the erase button on the screen is amazing. 6. The app does a great job of saving your images, although it does not do handwriting recognition like a Rocketbook. 7. The stylus kind of hangs off in an awkward way when put away. I think i might buy an adhesive loop so it doesn't catch on things. Seems like a poor design. My final thoughts are that this is a GREAT product if you’re realistic about what you’re getting. You are getting a relatively inexpensive writing pad that you can erase. If you taking quick notes, or are making a to-do list, it will serve you well. Also, I know I mentioned this before, but I feel like the case should ship with the item. The size is good, the replaceable back pieces are very loose fitting and kind of flimsy, even flat on a desk it bows downward which makes the lines look further away from the screen/surface. The write functionality is smooth, but the lines seems thick and blurry, difficult if you have a smaller writing style. The exact erase function is neat if you calibrate it, only down side is the text gets darker if you use that feature. Overall it’s okay. I feel like the quality is a bit flimsy for $45. I have a smaller $10 one I got a while ago and the text quality is 10x sharper and more legible. Just wished the background was tighter against the screen, maybe if it had a back that you can close that presses it in it would be better. The first unit I received was used and clearly opened!! Ever since I bit the bullet and got myself this Boogie Board Blackboard Authentic Reusable Notebook, my meeting game has taken a leap! Now, I don't scramble for scraps of paper or wrestle with sticky notes. No sir, I've gone green and I'm never going back! This clever little gadget is as easy to erase as my browser history after a deep dive into weird cat videos. Seriously, try to write, erase, and rewrite. It's a literal boogie! Plus, it lets me selectively erase parts of my notes without disturbing the rest. Pure magic! But wait, there's more (in my best infomercial voice). It comes with templates to organize my notes - like giving a monkey a typewriter and expecting Shakespeare, but actually getting it! Now, it's not all rainbows and unicorns. I do wish the writing felt a touch more like pen on paper, a bit thinner perhaps. And the mobile app, well, it's as exciting as watching paint dry. It pretty much allows me to snap pictures of the board and save them as PDFs - functional, but not fabulous. All things considered, I'd give this bad boy a 90% recommendation. It's a game-changer, not perfect, but definitely a keeper. It's like getting an upgrade from churning butter by hand to using a stand mixer. I'm in the middle of a landscaping project, so I use this everyday to work out rough measurements before I set them in stone. It's handy, but I wish it had a few more features like .. - The ability to undo your last action - an easy way to save and export work to a file - a more secure way to keep the templates in place. For casual use, this product is amazing. It has already reduced the amount of paper I am using. However, if you are planning to use it as part of your professional tech ecosphere I would rethink using this. ... show more

I work in banking, so I work through a lot of different account and end up entering a lot of information from various programs. I don't want any of my notes on anything that may be dug out of my trash (I work from home) so this thing is a god send. It writes SUPER smooth and the erase button at the top is fantastic. Excellent replacement for a small personal marker board. Great for outlining stuff for work. For fun? It's awesome for making monochromatic art. The app also sucks, BUT it gnarls up my line art in a way that kinda looks cool so that's a plus for me. Only actual complaint is the partial erase sucks, and the LCD is easily scratched. Minor stuff tho. I want one that can take up an entire wall now. 😳 Oh and the background paper doesn't stay put, so just use a little duct tape 😉 ... show more
