I’ve owned Chaco’s for over 2 decades! They are fabulous go-to sandals for everything. I even have a separate pair for in-house shoes, and my husband wears his clogs (Paonias) all the time. I do find the sizing is a little big if I buy a shoe as opposed to a sandal. I wear a 6 in a Chaco’s sandal, which is a 37 in European sizing. Usually I wear a 36. Maybe because the straps are adjustable, the 37 (6) works. I have to go to a 5 (36) for close-toed shoes. Otherwise, the ergonomic footbed is just as comfortable as Birkenstocks, which are my other go-to shoe for all day comfort.

I was originally worried about investing in this style of Chaco because of my wide feet! But the way it adjusts and the configuration of the straps is actually very comfortable. It does not rub on my feet to the point of blistering like some other strap styles. And it is nice to simply slide on and go!

I just got these today, and I'm deciding whether to keep or return Reasons to return: 1. Because of the patterning on the straps, it looks like I have two different shoes on 2. I can't pull the straps completely snug because it is only the buckle attached to the shoe that can be adjusted. 3. and even so, the straps drag on the ground (just a little--I can probably cut them, but then I'm worried they would fray) Reasons to keep: 1. They have decent arch support 2. They feel light on my feet. 3. The straps don't rub my toes/feet 4. They feel really comfortable. Given that I can't make them snug, I doubt I would walk far in these. However, they will be good for around the campsite, in the backyard, or running errands.
