This is not my first echo show 8. I purchased a new one for my mother in 2021. She was very pleased and entertained with the device, as was I. The echo show allows you to watch, listen, and view almost any form of media. When connected to a smart home like mine, it allows for an easy, autonomous controller for the home. Alexa controls my home, it adjusts the temperature, controls lights, and starts my car. It is all connected. Most people are not comfortable with this idea because of security. Amazon has already addressed this and you don't have to worry, there is an adjustable switch to block the camera and two-factor authentication for account log in. I find it secure and have received no alerts of attempted logins from unauthorized devices. My reason for purchasing this Echo show 8 was for personal use. I prefer it over the echo dot; when I became aware of the sale for a refurbished version, I was skeptical at first because of the reviews; However, I found them to be wrong, or at least constrained to their own experience. The reason as to why is because when I received mine, I found it incredibly easy to set up. I logged into my account, provided the code for 2fac-auth and was greeted by Alexa, whom had given me a tutorial of how to navigate and use the device. My smart home was instantly connected and i began to use it as all my other echo devices. Audio quality for the echo show 8 is superior to the echo dot and you are, as always, given equalizer settings. I had to update it, as expected, and was given new device settings like custom photo uploads for the home. Conclusion, i have owned and experienced and echo show 8 before. My purchase of the refurbished version of this device was normal and i did not have a bad experience. Updates are normal, and are necessary to maintain optimal performance. Safe, secure, and efficient. 5 stars.

this refurbished Echo Show looks and behaved just like a brand new one. Good sound. I don't really use the screen much but the picture seems nice and clear. If you've ever worried about buying an Amazon refurbished item, don't. It's the only way I buy my electronics anymore. Why pay full price for something that is going to be relevant for such a relatively short time?

Ayuda bastante en el entretenimiento y otras tareas. Es practico al solo tener que pedirle a Alexa que muestre cámaras, o que coloque alguna estación de radio o canción, se integra a otros productos como aspiradora lo que me permite solo pedir que comience la limpieza. Espere todo este tiempo para escribir sobre la durabilidad y creanme que es robusta, se ha caído una 2 veces y aun sigue funcionando sin ningún problema. I bought refurbished at $69 and can't tell the difference. No regrets! Packaging and product looked new. I swapped out the smaller one to the bedroom. I like this size much better for the kitchen. Having an open floorplan, sound quality and volume is more than adequate for our modest space. What I like the most about it is that it acts as a hub for all our smart devices (not google stuff) and it announces notifications for the Ring doorbell (also Blink cameras) so buying chimes weren't needed. Asking Alexa to do things via these devices are great... If only you didn't have to be so exact with Alexa, but that's another review. I also like how the camera is situated upward which helps with privacy concerns. It doesn't show your eye level interior space when placed on a countertop. I like this product.

We are big fans of the "A Word" Thats our joke in house because we have so many listening Alexa devices around from tablets, phones to all echo's.. We purchased 3 of these echo show unit's and now when we stream on the "Everywhere" the whole house runs these 3 show's , original echo and echo dot which is hooked up to an FM transmitter for other things like my Garage stereo, AM/FM 3M head phones I use to block noise from my power tools. The Show is very handy mostly in the Kitchen. It's always offering up recipes which catch our attention. Has constant weather news on it plus all other including YouTube. Very easy to use and It set it self up after we powered them up. Very happy with the low cost and high benefits of the Amazon Alexa's echo show 8
