I really like this superglue package. The faster than average curing times, approximately 15-30 seconds, depending on the materials I'm using, the many different types of materials this glue can weld together, and the "precision tip applicator" make this an easy decision to purchase in the "superglue market". The bottle's nozzle has a nice shape and length - the nozzle/dispenser opening allows secondary usage without having to punch a new opening for later applications. The "precision tip applicator" is the best feature I've experienced since it gives you so much more control in the location and amount of glue I'm applying. The only problem I've found using this is it's "one and done" b/c the nozzle gets clogged after the first usage and due to the extremely small opening it's nearly impossible to unplug for later applications - but they do include (3) of these "precision tip applicator" tips. I just wish they throw in another dozen as that's how often I think I'd use this specialty applicator especially since there's 30G's of this glue. Overall, an excellent choice to buy b/c of the quality of glue and its very fair price point. ... show more

I have had this kitty planter for years but the tail got broken off. I've tried several different glues but could not get any to hold the weight off the tail. I just couldn't make myself throw him away. When I saw this glue was good for ceramic, I decided to try it. I did not think it would work as I had tried super glue before and it was too runny. This glue smells like super glue but not as thin. I put a layer on one side; I got a little too much and it started running down, but was able to blot off with a paper towel. I stuck the sides together and held them for about a minute and then propped the tail up with a small box to hold it in place to finish drying. As you can see in the pic, the tail is attached. The mended spot isn't pretty and I don't know if it is sturdy, I'm afraid to try it. I will update my review if there are any changes. ... show more

I’m always on the hunt for a good glue that grips fast, and lasts. I have a sort of love-hate relationship with superglue. I’m not crazy about it but usually find myself using it because it does hold, even though it can be annoying to work with. But it tends to get brittle after a while, and I’ve had glued pieces fail on hard surfaces like ceramics. This Welding High-Strength Oily Glue caught my eye because of its ability to remain somewhat tacky after time. It has an almost instant bond, but it also retains a bit of flex. It comes nicely packaged with three long precision tips. It’s also a large bottle with a generous amount of glue. One thing I didn’t like: they pasted the barcode sticker right over the directions. I had to peel carefully and then use solvent to get the sticker off the box so I could read them. There’s an empty space on the other side of the box – wish they would put the sticker there instead. Here’s what the directions say: 1. Clean and dry the surface to be bonded. 2. Apply a small amount of glue to the surface. 3. Press the two surfaces together for 10–45 seconds for initial adhesion, and it will be completely firm after 24 hours. I was trying to glue a small pottery jar that had several pieces of the top lip broken off. The pottery was fairly porous clay inside, so I needed a bit more glue than expected because it tended to seep in. It reminds me a lot of superglue - fairly thin, and yes, it can get all over your fingers. It’s tricky to hold it in place till it initially adheres, then trying to pull away after your fingers have stuck to it as well. I ended up needing nail polish remover to get it off my skin. I did like working with it a bit more than superglue because I think you have a slightly longer working time to get it in position before it really grabs. It’s not a miracle glue, but it’s pretty good. ... show more

Tested on bonding 1/2" EVA foam to sheet aluminum. The bond was stronger than the foam. For giggles I tested on two 4" pieces of scrap 5052 marine grade aluminum - could not sheer the sheets apart but was able to peal the pieces apart with a lot of force. I expected that given I didn't clean the surface but I wanted to see how it would do - I'm impressed. Key Points about this glue • It's a thin constancy so it will migrate - which can be good or bad depending on your application. • The top/cap seals up nicely - might sound like a little thing I have wasted so many bottles of super glue because the top didn't seal. • All-in-all good product at a good price. ... show more

I used this glue this evening to bond together the pieces of a shattered glass lens so that I can use it as a form to cast a new one. This glue is like most other cyanoacrylate "superglues" in that it is not actually "instant" but more like "pretty quick". It will give you a few moments of fudge factor for final positioning, and then it sets up fairly quickly. The included fine tips are a really nice touch and make application easier. The stuff flows nicely and just a small amount is required - just remember that these glues have an affinity for gluing flesh so be careful when holding pieces together while it sets up (ask me how I know...). A good quantity, in a good re-sealable bottle, with good precision applicator tips at a decent price - what's not to like! ... show more
