I was very disappointed in this. I don’t know the technical term of all the parts but some of the colored plates are very small and difficult to strike with the drumstick. And even when you do hit them the sound is more of a thud. Also for the age listed the music sheet that came with it is pretty difficult. And for almost $30 I thought the quality was just not there. I would’ve returned it but I miss placed it and then when I found it a few days ago it was too late to return. So now I’m out $30 because no one will use it.

Purchased as a replacement gift for a lower quality product purchased at Christmas (that one was totally out of tune!) Out of the 15 bars, only one is noticeably slightly out of tune.

My son (5-yo/autistic) loves this toy. The mallets lasted until he shared them with the dogs, but the glockenspiel/xylophone itself has survived being thrown across the room innumerable times. If your kiddo loves music but isn't always gentle, this is the toy for them!
