Pair of cedar boot trees. I used these on size 10 men’s/12 women’s shoes. True to size. They went in easily, and the crease at the toe visibly lessened. I felt no gap at the toe of the shoe, but I could not be sure because of the shoe’s firmness. There was no visible gap at the heel of the shoe. I think if I had gotten these sooner, I could have mitigated the shoe's toe crease. I will definitely use these in the future.

We like these cedar boot trees overall. The wood is fragrant and freshly milled, the hardware feels sturdy, and the expansion mechanism works smoothly. They drop right into our Chelsea and short dress boots without drama, and once they’re in place, the shape support is exactly what we want - firm, even, and reassuring. The metal pull makes removal easy, and the cedar scent alone feels like a small luxury every time we open the closet. Our only hesitation is the heel width. It runs a little broad for some boots in the size range, which can keep the tree from seating fully down into the footbed there. Heck, It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s noticeable, and a slightly narrower heel block would make these fit more universally with less force. Still, these boot trees do their job well. You got your great look, and your substantial feel in the hand. For anyone wanting to keep their leather boots in proper shape, they’re a solid choice. Yah, so there's that. Four star deal.

I have a couple of different shoe trees for my dress shoes, but they are all four low tops. These are the first high top shoe trees that I have had and I really like them. They have a wonderful smell of cedar as soon as you take them out of the box, which allows them to absorb any moisture or odors from your shoes to keep them clean and looking and smelling new. I also like how easy it is they are to insert into shoes; they are well designed whenever you insert them into your shoe, the front part spreads apart to keep the form of your shoe correct and without creases. If you have dress shoes or any shoes for that matter that you would like to take better care of, these shoe trees is an easy way to prolong the life of your shoes and to keep them looking great for many years. I feel that these few trees are very durable, smell, great, and work very well.

These boot trees are perfect for my low-top renaissance boots! The leather has gotten very supple and soft, and I didn't want them to develop crease lines from flopping over at the ankle. These boot trees can be easily adjusted to fit multiple shoe sizes, and do a great job supporting the heavy leather of my boots. On top of that, they smell AMAZING. I am a sucker for cedar, and they do double duty of keeping silverfish at bay.

The gold colored knobs on top screw in, and were screwed in through the plastic bags they arrived at the factory in. Lazy, but not the worst thing in the world. However, in the process of removing the plastic bags, one of the knobs had what looked like spider web complete with little black eggs between the bag, the bottom of the knob, and the boot tree. Gross. The other one pretty much just fell out rather than screwing out because the hole was drilled twice at two different angles. The cedar isn't especially aromatic, and there's a big chunk of filler in the bottom of one of them. They fit my boots though, so there's at least that. The spider eggs are gone, I don't really need the brass knobs to do anything other than look shiny, as long as the filler stays where it is it doesn't hurt anything, and I don't really care about the cedar smell (better not enough than too much). The part of the boot trees that keep the boots nice and formed during the half the year I don't wear them works, so I can't knock them too badly...

These are beautifully smooth natural cedar forms that will keep your boots from flopping over. The natural unfinished cedar should also help with moisture and odor within the boot. While they will not particularly stretch your boot, they will self-adjust to the length and width of the foot bed, according to the size you ordered. They should also help your boots to not flop over and retain moisture and odors, or develop unsightly creases. Because of the sturdy and simple construction, I expect these to last longer than my lifetime. Good purchase!
