These are meant for a child who won't really know what is good and what isn't. I figured I'd give them a try. I couldn't even do that because one side of each skate was not even sharpened. Not even an attempt. I tightened them to the point of bad circulation and was easily able to bend my ankles. They are warm and comfortable, I will agree. Bought these in a Large for my 13 year old (wears a womens size 8). She wears them on the number 4 setting, the largest. Child says they are more comfortable that the ones at the ice rink and they work great for her learn to skate classes.
