This is about what you would expect from a standard fire truck toy for toddlers. It’s built decent though and so far seems durable. Everything functions as it should and my son was happy with it so that’s all that matters to me.

This toy is Made in Vietnam, not China, finally a few toys not made in China. I got this for almost a week already and been playing around with it with my nephew. The package is plastic bag wrap sealed with proper warning. Battery is included and preinstalled, probably not a good idea, the manufacturer need to review this because preinstall batteries can be hazardous, maybe preinstall but have connection activation tape or something to pull when ready to play... This toy is good size, big, a big boy toy size, my 5 years old nephew been playing with it, no complaint. The sound is not too loud and annoying but I wouldn't recommend playing with it while people asleep at night. Light flashing. Seems to be durable. Sound it make like real diesel engine sound. You would need a box if need to gift wrap this because it's not a square package box, but if you don't mind gift wrap package as is, it is ok to do so, just not square. Good gift for boys, all occasions that have to do with construction related area. Love the diesel engine sound it made. ... show more

Overall, this is a simple but good quality firetruck. The ladder can be extended by a hand crank on the side which is really fun to use during play. My son likes to create scenes of characters he is playing with getting rescued and he uses the ladder to do so. My favorite part about the firetruck is the movement activated sounds which makes play a more realistic and fun experience. I got this for my 15-month old nephew and his mum says he loves it though it's a bit advanced for him. It's a toy that he'll grow with and feels very sturdy and rugged. Looks like it'll stand the test of time. My 10 year old son did enjoy it with his cousin too.

I have found some of the CAT branded toys to be innovative and really great toys....but this one appears to just be decent. I would say that they did a good job of adding lights and sounds to the toy.....but they are just too loud, in my opinion. My 3.5 year old son still loves this toy, but I may need to find a way to tone it down....or I'll need to remove the batteries. I find the ladder a little substandard as well. Almost went with 3 stars here but my son does really like this toy. He would have liked it better if the ladder was built better. ... show more
