The media could not be loaded. My cat usually hates carriers so it’s always such a hassle whenever we need to travel. However, he seems to like this carrier the best! If the time and space allows, I like to pull out the extenders. I will say the extenders can be a bit awkward to twist back in, but the versatility is great for giving our cat more room to relax. The backpack isn’t completely see-through as it gives my cat more privacy. The backpack is sturdy and has additional pockets to put any cat supplies, treats, and more while traveling.     • Absolutely worth it
My cat hates carriers, always wants to be outside, hates the car.... and this was absolutely amazing. Moved across the country and expanded the front out so she was able to extend and lay out. Started taking her on walks; and it's like a baby carrier for her.... so soothed by walking with me and being able to look around! She sits in it now regularly, esp when she's trying to tell me she wants to go hike. Very durable, the cushions that are the walls when it's compact, and that fold down to make the floor when unzipped, are great quality too. This is the ultimate kitty carrier. Glad I did some research. I'll add pictures soon... I put it down in the yard or next to the river, expand the front and back, and she's loving life.... until she's trying to beg to run free hahah ... show more

    • Love it and my cats do too!
My kitten got chonky so I needed a bigger carrier for her, and I prefer the backpack style for a number of reasons (hands free to grab whatever else I need!). I had hoped to take her on outdoor adventures, but I think she’s a bit too skittish for that. So instead I have been using it for vet trips and a cross-country move! When it’s closed up in the smallest form, she seems to like the “tight space” because she usually lays down and closes her eyes pretty quickly. When I opened it up she likes to stretch out and seemed content, as content as a cat can be on a 4 day road trip. I only have used one side of the backpack expanded because the expansion on the side of the backpack straps doesn’t expand fully (due to the weight of the straps leaning against it) and it just hasn’t felt necessary. I got a new cat who is 11lbs and it’s definitely small for him when closed, but when it’s expanded he seems to like it. He even chooses to lay inside of the backpack instead of the cat beds sometimes! I’m also happy to share that my cat has not been able to chew or break through the mesh!! I definitely recommend helping your cat get used to it before you use it to transport them. I leave it out on the ground where they have access at any time, and open up the door on the expanded side and I throw treats in there to get them to check it out. Start slowly and be patient! Put “scent soakers” inside so that it smells like them which will make them more comfortable. I put in a shirt that I had worn and then let her sleep on for a few days and I think it helps. I definitely recommend Jackson Galaxy’s videos for all your cat travel tips and tricks. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Sides collapsing on the sides, doesn't hold shape. scares my cat. its a good backpack but the sides make it a bad product, in my opinion
