I researched quite a few different cabinet mats before deciding to buy this one, and I'm glad I did. Here are my thoughts: PROS - The width required minimal trimming for the shelves of my storage cabinets. - The material doesn't slide on the metal shelves, and also keeps whatever you put on it in place. - It's easy to trim with a pair of scissors. - It protects the surface of whatever you pace it on. - The material also inherently reduces the noise of placing items on the metal shelves. CONS - Having other widths would be useful for different shelf sizes. - The price isn't the cheapest, but it's worth the few extra dollars. Bottom line: I recommend it and I'd buy it again. The liner is great for lining my Kennedy tool boxes. It is about 0.1” thick and tactile enough to prevent tools from sliding around when the drawers are opened or closed. It cuts cleanly with a straight edge and a box knife. This width allows for running the liner up two drawer sidewalls.
