'26/2 1st time purchase/review: -- I bought this shoe to wear as an elementary school teacher on days dressed in athleisure wear to instruct PE class--NOT actually do personal running training in. -- Beautiful, deep, crayon/4thJuly type red...NOT orang-ish or maroon red. Upper & side mesh is slightly see through (sock/foot DOES show); this is a helpful feature for sweaty feet to breath. The mesh design makes it easy to put on, and feels lightweight; which means blisters should be kept to a minimum (if the snug toe box width is not a problem). -- Fabulous feel (though snug toe box for this wide 4"/10cm foot--though mesh upper gives way well); so, will accommodate by wearing casual sock (or even a nylon liner sock) vs. athletic sock given there is NO half-size up 9 option--and, full size up would risk being too long toe-to-heel by a half inch for my foot size. NO wide available, nor several half-sizes (see listed Product Description's Size Chart). Length fits true 8.5 heel-to-toe length of listed 9.8"/24.8cm (I'm 9.5"/24cm/240mm with this shoe being a full, comfortable pinky width beyond small toes). -- Looks great for an affordable $39 price tag. Now that have in my possession, I'd call these a faux running shoe--NOT one I'd actually want to train in (like main stream athletic brands). In all fairness, the advertiser does state, "this style shoe is designed for fashion & casual activities like walking, shopping, etc. for all day comfort." -- Sole: The sides and bottom red part of sole are like a slick (though great looking for athleisure wear) plastic. Advertising shows bottom of shoe with "anti slip & durable rubber pad;" this black pad is indeed a grippy rubber, but ONLY is in a smaller, middle portion of the ball and heel of the shoe. -- Laces are good length, color, & athletic-like. -- Disappointingly, these came with NO shoe box. -- Also comes in cute navy, dark purple, beige color options in addition to white, black and grey. -- Highly recommend for accessorizing an athleisure wear look (vs. actual athletic performance) IF foot can take the snug toe box. ... show more

I waited quite a while to find a cool pair of PURPLE active shoes, and when these came up I was very happy. Don't regret the purchase, but must say that there are some things about these shoes that buyers should be aware of. 1) These do NOT have enough support to be called Athletic Shoes! 2) The toe box is narrow ... who does that with an active shoe like this??? I've never had such a narrowing of the toe box in this kind of shoe, so this makes the fix fall short of great! 3) The material is good -- and that's significant to me since my skin is very sensitive and shoes must be comfy from the start. I wanted closed summer shoes I did not have to wear sox with, so having material that is not scratchy or irritating is a VERY good. 4) And the breathability is good -- BUT keep in mind that if you wear these shoes in any environment, especially WITHOUT sox, where there is loose dirt, dust or pebbles, your feet will get pretty dirty 😉 5) The inner soles do NOT have enough support or padding, but that is easy to correct. For the modest price, adding some inner soles of your choice, and some extra support in the arch area is inexpensive. I find I need to do this with almost any shoe I purchase. Arch support seems to be a thing of the past ... ☹️ ... show more

Awesome pair of shoes for the price… I was shocked that I could find a pair of shoes that excelled in fit & comfort for this price. Have gotten so many compliments and they are fun to wear. I always wear a size 5.5 in sneakers so I can wear socks and these fit perfectly. I added tartan shoe laces from Amazon for the holidays… fun fun fun.. ... show more

Thes cute shoes are not for running or serious long distance walking , in my opinion! I have bunions on both feet. I had surgery 9 years ago on my left foot bunion. The surgery only lasted a couple years until arthritis took over and much worse than before the surgery. I also have rheumatoid ...arthritis and the arthritis has taken over my feet to where I need something that will stretch. I love them because they look nice, without being 150 + dollars.. The souls of these shoes are hard, and make a noise as you're walking on hard surfaces which ,does not bother me at all. As you can see in the pictures it gives my feet room with the bunions and also room to swell. I got an 8.5 because I always need that extra room for my left foot. They are a little big I usually wear an 8 in Nikes. I am on the lookout for inserts, and I bought these shoes honestly for the look, and not comfort. I needed black shoes for work and just to wear with jeans this winter and they kind of camouflage the deformity of my feet also! I am also not on my feet at work. I cannot do a review for that because I will not be wearing them to stand or walk long distances. Again, bought for look and top stretch not comfort... They do not have much support.
