  • New Favorite Game!
I absolutely love this game. First, it’s gorgeous. The quality and feel of the components is top tier and the artwork is beautiful. I also love that there is educational information included about the environment and species in the instructions. Second, the pacing of the game can be slow in the beginning as you’re learning the mechanics and best strategies, but will play quickly as you’re used to it. It’s challenging enough to keep you engaged but simple enough to not be too overwhelming. Great for adults and even kids as young as 9 or 10. My 9yo hasn’t played it yet, but I think he’ll like it, especially since he enjoys Carcassonne. The game lasts around 30-45 minutes. The replay ability is high as each time you play, the requirements to scoring changes. Plus, there’s solo play instructions included. The box is compact for easy storage. Highly recommend! Looking forward to the expansions. ... show more

  • Beautiful, Relaxing, and Surprisingly Deep Gameplay
I bought this game based on the artwork and overall vibe after seeing it on a list of relatively chill board games that you can play both alone and with other people. Playing it is a very calming experience for me so far, and I think the gorgeous and colorful visuals creating a bird's eye view landscape help a lot with that. But I was surprised by how meaty the gameplay is at the same time. The game strikes a very artful balance between being compelling and engaging enough that you want to keep playing just to play around with different strategies or combinations of the tokens/cards/tiles, but it's also mellow enough thematically that it's hard to become overly competitive. It feels sort of like playing an episode of planet earth. I've played a bunch of times now with anywhere from 1-3 other friends and we always end up playing more rounds than we originally planned to. Highly recommend! I'm excited to pick up the expansion eventually and see what that adds to the mix. ... show more

  • Don’t sleep on the foxes!
This is definitely my new favorite. It’s easy to teach, it’s simple to play, while giving you many different permutations on how to play each session as the scoring objectives have different variants to keep it very fresh. One the surface it’s incredibly simple, with a subtle layer of complexity when dealing with filling out your board to hit your different scoring objectives while also focusing on building your board out in a way that gives you those extra points by having the biggest habitats of each variety. A ton of fun for the family! ... show more

  • New Game Night Favorite
This is our new board game night favorite! It is easy to understand as compared to other strategy games which allows for the fun to begin sooner since you aren’t bogged down in the rules. I also like that you build your own habitat instead of building one massive one together like other games. The artwork is amazing! Also, you can use different rules for the points which makes this game even better and increases the playability over time. I do wish you could play with more people though and hope they come out with an expansion pack someday! If you enjoy a game with a little bit of strategy this is for you! ... show more

  • A good strategy game
Great family and friends game. Can play with partners if more than four. Takes a bit to get the rules, a strategy game.

  • Great game
Great game for those who love tiles' games. Different levels in one game, depth of thinking but a family game, great design
