These shoes cost a fraction of what I just paid for name brand shoes. These feel great on my feet. The name brand shoes felt like torture devices. I wear a women’s size 5, so I can wear a big girl’s size 3. It’s nice to buy from the kids’ section, since some shoes don’t make or carry fives. I don’t buy many kids shoes though, because they are little kiddish looking. These are not. I don’t like heavy shoes, tight shoes, or shoes that slide around. These are a perfect fit. I do prefer an arch support, which these don’t have, but I have several cushioned arch supports that I use for other shoes, so it isn’t a problem. I’d rather pay for an affordable, sturdy, comfortable shoe and use my own supports that I already have if it keeps the price down. I will purchase more of these at this price!

BLUF: I would recommend these shoes, but purchase a better quality insole for your child. I purchased these shoes for my child and according to my child they are great. However, some things my child said could be better is the insole. My child loves to play outside and do normal kid things. At the end of the day my child is not happy with how much the shoes have made her feet hurt. They are new shoes (not now) but still fit properly, so I ordered better insoles to help keep her pain free. So if you are looking for a good, summer play, not expensive shoe, this is a good one. Just remember to buy a better insole at the same time.
