I was hunting for small Apple bands on Amazon. I was hooked by this band initially for it's small size keywords. I am skinny and small and finding a 42mm band is surprisingly difficult. It fits me well while having some room left, even for me. Aesthetically, the band is a slam dunk. It is enjoyably masculine and I think of cars more than bikes with it's reference principle. At first I questioned wether a rubber band might come across as cheap for my Apple Watch, but then again, it's a tire. I appreciate the brand name's position on the underside, rather than a see-my-sketchers front and center. The quality is past what I expected. The buckle and ends are a shiny black, durably panted. I had some user error installing my bands upside down then right side up then upside down and etc. During that time I can conclude that the paint is considerably scratch proof with all the sliding I did. I willingly tried to scratch the paint with my nail and could not. The rubber is substantial and feels very comfortable without feeling loose. Again, if it fits me, it can fit a skeleton. There is a M/L version available as I've read. The quality and character of the band is perfect. Even if Carterjett creates different designs, their tire band will be the most creative in their arsenal. If you would like to know, my body case is the TPU plastic case from New Trent. I like this band. Looks good seems rugged yet classy. there are two problems. First it stretches. so plan on adding a couple of holes if you like it tight like I do. Second, the loop that retains the band end is not strong enough. Mine is starting to crack. When it cracks completely I will need a new band as I do not believe you can just get a new loop.

My wrist is pretty big at 210 mm and this band fits comfortably on the 2nd to last hole. Using the last hole is too loose. The Apple sport band that came with my watch is size M/L and fits on the very last hole. I have been wearing this band for a few days and, so far, I'm super-impressed. I wasn't expecting much and what I got was way more than anticipated. The metal connectors fit flush and work as expected. The rubber is soft, flexible and comfortable. I have very hairy arms and it does not catch or tug. The band width and overall feel is substantial while staying comfortable. After wearing this band for a few days I swapped back to my original Apple sport band but within a few minutes found myself switching back to this one. They are both comfortable and feel good on the wrist; this one just looks better. Overall, I'm glad to own it. The only real test this band has left to pass is to see if it stands up with time.

Excellent every day watchband. This is the second band I bought and the first one held up for 5 years. I’m pretty tough on watchbands from doing around the house maintenance/yard work to auto repairs. The only reason I’m replacing the first one is because I noted during the last cleaning of the band there were tiny cracks in the rubber at the watch attachment clasps but after five years of wear and tear that’s awesome in my opinion. By the way if you’re replacing with a duplicate like I did save the loop from the old one and use as a secondary on the new one…helps keep the excess band length under control (see photo).

I like the color and quality of this watch band but the size is off. I ordered a Med/Large and it’s too big. I’m at the last hole on the band. Not bad enough to return but annoying.

I have a 42mm Watch 2 Space Gray Aluminum Case with Black Sport Band. The sport band seems fine for everyday use but I wanted something a little more secure for skiing and other extreme sports. This band fits the bill and looks good and feels comfortable doing it. The clasp is a traditional design and seem less likely to come undone accidentally. Although I have a S/M Sport Band, I bought the XL Tire Tread so that I had the option of wearing the band over some of my ski clothes so I would have easier access to it while skiing. This worked great. If you turn off the lock function (from the iPhone Watch App) you have full access to the watch functions (except heart rate) without putting in your watch code even if the watch back is not touching your skin. When you do that, ApplePay from the watch is turned off and must be turned back on from the iPhone App. If you don't turn off the lock, you can still see the time without the code. Some of the earlier reviews indicated some strength problems with the band connection to the watch. As you may have read, this was redesigned. It is now very strong and probably as strong or stronger that the Apple sports band.
