  • Very nice scooter at a reasonable price.
Style: 25 Miles 500W Black
This scooter came packaged very nicely with minimal assembly, all I had to do was attach the handle bars and we were ready to go! This scooter has 3 speeds low medium and high. Low goes about 5 mph and high at 20 mph. This scooter has a head and tail light that you turn on with one press of the light button and press it twice you turn on some pretty cool side lights. The breaks on this scooter are very responsive. I recommend you drive it slowly at first so you can get used to the breaking. This scooter also come equipped with a bell which is not only useful, but kinda fun too. This is a very nice scooter for cruising around the neighborhood, amd can get you about 20 miles before having to recharge, but if you plan to use it for commuting and are riding it on high at 20 mph, you will only get about 13 miles before needing to recharge. I wish the charge would last longer on high, because i like riding fast. The handle and arm folds down, making it easy to pick up and carry with you, but is a little heavy. So if you don't have too far to carry it, you will be fine. There is a port near the bottom of the arm where you plug the charger in which has a rubber cap to keep water out. Overall this is a very nice scooter for the price. I love it! I wish they could come up with a battery that would last longer on high speeds for longer riding. ... show more

  • Caroma E66 - good,inexpensive scooter...
Style: 25 Miles 500W Blue
First off, I'd like to state that anyone claiming the the E66 will get 25 miles of range apparently doesn't know how the range measurements are calculated. Max range is a 165lb rider, flat ground, on the lowest speed setting. So, realistically, you'll never achieve that range. That's not a bad thing, it's just facts. Now, on to my personal review. The scooter was easy to assemble. All I had to do was unbox it, connect the power cable to the controls, and put in the 4 screws (tools are included, so don't worry about not having the correct equipment). Overall build quality is quite good. Better than id expected, considering I've owned a few, more expensive escooters in the past. This is a well built machine. It came mostly charged, so I topped it off and took it for a milage test ride around my neighborhood. My area is 99% flat, with a few small dips and rises. I'm also about 250lbs, so take that info into consideration if you're around the same weight. The scooter can handle up to 300lbs, but don't expect to zoom around on it. Fully charged it topped out at 19mph, which isn't bad. On one of those little rises it slowed down to about 16mph. Still more than acceptable. By the time I reached the 9 mile mark (it made it to 9 miles!!!), average speed was about 13mph. The voltage sag is real with this scooter. LoL! Next, I'm not going to cover controls, features, or functions really, but the ability to change speeds, turn the lights on and off, and even activate cruise control via the control pad with your left thumb is a game changer for me. That alone is a feature that more electric scooters should have. Bravo to Caroma! Now, I'm going to mention a few other electric scooters I've recently tried, and the main reason I returned them, and I've decided to keep the Caroma E66. The hiboy max pro, which is designed to get long range, with a bigger battery and 500 watt motor, gave me 8.1 miles and almost left me stranded. The range estimates are way off. Next escooter was the Inmotion Climber. I'm not going to lie, but the power and torque with it were fantastic. It's also decently quick. Then there's the range. I made 12.7 miles before it went into power conservation more, and I crawled back home with it. Not what id expected, since BOTH should have given me a bit more range. I'd expected, minimum, 15 miles from both, and neither delivered. The Caroma E66 is the winner IMO. I'll now explain why the Caroma E66 is the better deal, and a fantastic bargain for this price point (around $400 via prime, as the others don't tell you about the additional shipping costs, which brings it in line with the prime price point). There's something called value for dollar, and this electric scooter delivers! For around $400 the performance is pretty solid. I mean, if I were a few pounds lighter, I'm sure I'd have gotten longer range, as would be expected. But for what you pay, and what you actually get, this is the best option for commuting, at this price. Oh, yes, I almost forgot. This escooter has solid tires, and they're excellent for flat prevention, because they're flat proof. The one downside is the ride is rough on anything but smooth streets. You'll feel like your teeth will shake loose. There is a rear spring shock, but it only provides minimal shock absorption. It's definitely not for rough terrain. Now, last part is a request for Caroma. PLEASE make a model with a few upgrades. #1 larger battery. The reason should be obvious. #2 dual motor. This scooter would climb like a mountain goat. It has a 500 watt motor, but 2 350 watt motors would also be sufficient. 500 would be the bees knees! LoL! #3 just keep making a quality product. ... show more

  • Great for recreation or short commutes
Style: 20 Miles 350W Matt Blue
The media could not be loaded. Wow, what a fun scooter! Our family has really enjoyed this purchase. Our son outgrew his non-motorized scooter and was ready for the next level! This scooter is comfortable for him (he is 5' 6") as well as my husband (5' 9") to use. The handle height adjusts easily for the rider's comfort. The scooter came well packaged in a sturdy box with plenty of foam and wrapping to keep it safe during shipping. Assembly was simple and after a few clicks it was ready to use! The charger works well and it holds a charge great. The brake is on the front wheel and works well. The display panel is digital and shows the gear you are in, the battery life, and speed. And it has cruise control! The scooter turns on with a simple push of the power button and there are lights on the front and back of the scooter for high visibility at night as well as bright blue flashing lights on the sides of the deck. It is simple to switch from gears 1, 2, and 3 with up and down buttons. The blue color is a nice powder/matte looking blue that isn't too "girly" for my son to like. There is a kickstand that keeps it upright. To go, a small push off with your foot while engaging the motor (twisting back the right handle) starts your ride effortlessly. It was able to handle the hills in our neighborhood easily and also rode on the grass just fine. It is quiet when running and changes gears seamlessly. It is very enjoyable to ride! The handle bar folds down for storage and clips into place. There is a little weight to it, and for carrying it I wonder if a strap could be added to make it easier to hold onto, maybe to carry on your back or shoulder. But the weight means it feels sturdy and is solidly built, not flimsy or like it would break easily, so I do appreciate that. Overall, I'm very happy with this electric scooter and would recommend it to a friend. ... show more

  • top Speed
Style: 20 Miles 350W Matt Blue
the build quality is good. Everything is good except for the top speed. 2nd gear yellow and 3rd gear red both top around 15mph. It does not go up to 20mph as stated
