I ordered these boots for my new job at horse stables. I wanted something with more support than your normal cheap rubber muck boots. I was definitely worried about the fit from reading the reviews, I wear an 11 so I obviously wasn't able to order a half a size bigger. The boots feel a little tight when I first put them on but after a little wear they felt perfect. My feet stayed warm, even with the steel toe, but never felt too hot. My feet stayed dry even in puddles and snow. If your looking for an awesome safety boot that's water proof and won't make your feet hurt definitely grab a pair of these Carhartt boots! ... show more

These are very nice boots. The leg shaft isn’t very solid so you could get wet through it or it may slouch and allow things to get to your legs. And they run small. So be sure to size up.

These boots are not designed for ease of putting on / taking off. I love carhartt and was disappointed that I had to return them but it’s almost impossible to get your foot into them! Once they are on they fit great but in order to get them on you have to literally break a sweat. There needs to be a zipper or something added to the design. ... show more

Felt tight when I first put them on, almost thought I would have to return them and get bigger size. A week later they broke in and fit PERFECT! Its been a couple months now and I love these work boots. Mostly used for working in ship's engine room, but I've worn them to snowy, muddy, and sandy terrain. Only complaint is the tabs on the sides for pulling them on sound like they might be tearing. No issues yet but I hear that internal tear sound. 10 out of 10 would def recommend. I wear a size 7 1/2 and the 7 1/2 that I got is way too tight. At first I thought that maybe they just needed to be broken in, as new boots usually do, but these refuse to be broken in and are killing my feet. If you buy this boot I would get a size or two larger than what you normally wear, if I bought another pair I would definitely get an 8 and if that was too tight I would just get an 8 1/2 and not try and see if they will break in and leave me without the option of returning them. These have been a phenomenal buy for those working out in rough conditions. I work in construction particularly with a lot of concrete and these boots have been great! They are very warm and comfortable for fall/winter but would not recommend in the summer as these boots are TOO hot. I am pretty rough with my boots and concrete doesn't help so they have only lasted me about a year but if they were maintained better they may last longer for someone else. Love these boots! I have a 2 month old bull calf who loves to step on my feet and these protect them very well. I am a true 7.5 shoe size and sized up to size 8 as per previous recommendations in the reviews and they feel perfect.
