Wind Fighter® technology tames the wind. Carhartt strong triple-stitched main seams. Relaxed fit. I’m 5’8” and 185 and the medium fits just right. Also tried the large but was swimming in it even with a long sleeve hoodie and Antigua vest underneath for layering so kept the medium instead. Wore it this past week in 40-50 F, rainy weather. The coat is warm without it feeling overly heavy or bulky. Might not even need to layer at all given the insulation. Also able to wear it comfortably while driving and still have good range of motion. A bit tight in arm holes while wearing a thick hoodie under it, but able to wear a casual v-neck sweater and polo under it just fine while driving to work. Got the greige - a good neutral color that was $50 cheaper than the black or coffee brown. Glad I got a great deal on such now a comfortable Carhartt coat. ... show more

    • Very warm considering how light weight it feels.

The good: Love the material, seems very durable. The hood cinches up well and jacket zippers up to your nose. Large pockets on front for carrying whatever. The not so good: Front hand pockets not really for keeping your hands warm, small and not well insulated. More for holding a pair of gloves I guess. Here’s the big problem. There’s no adjusting the bottom of the jacket to fit close around your waist. I realize there are side zippers that can be used when sitting, but there still should be a way to adjust it, maybe with a flap and a series of snaps. As it is you’re vulnerable to a cold air blast coming up from the bottom on a windy day. I haven’t decided if I’ll keep it or not. Next few days here in Minneapolis will be near zero deg F. I've always purchased Carhartt coats which have been warm and durable. Now that I am getting older, I notice the weight of these coats on my shoulders. I purchased this one and it is wonderful. Lightweight but warm for our Minnesota winters. Still has a durable outer shell, not a cheap thin nylon one ... show more

Can’t knock the warmth and look of the jacket. I want to keep it, but may end up returning it again. I’m 6’ 200#, and I first bought the Medium, it fit perfect everywhere except in the arms. When I sat driving it hurt my shoulders and the wrist elastic was too tight. So I returned and got a Large. Now the arms are good, but I’m literally swimming in the rest of it. Like the jacket,haven’t tried it in the cold yet.Isn’t as described or pictured.Missing external chest pocket and side zippers.Leads me to believe that this isn’t the jacket I thought I was ordering.What is the price difference?
