I'm not a jacket guy. I hate how they look, I hate carrying them around, and even when I lived in New York (I'm now in Florida), I'd be the guy walking around in 20 degree weather with a hoodie or light windbreaker. But that comes with a cost - people feel the need to judge you on the street. And as I was heading up to Canada for a business event, the last thing I wanted was to be called out for my lack of jacket in front of clients. So I bought this. I could not be more pleased. It's definitely a big, winter jacket. It's not egregiously heavy, but it's not light by any stretch of the imagination. Still, I was amazed at the ratio between how effective it seems to be at keeping my warm and comfortable ... and how manageable it is from a weight/bulkiness perspective. It also very stylish -- maybe not red carpet stylish, but something that looks striking and flattering while walking down the street. The tapering is also very impressive; though it's big, it doesn't have that "boxy" effect and contoured from my shoulders to waist reasonably well. Again, it's something you can wear on a night out to the bars or movies and not look ridiculous. And due to the warmth and insulation, I'd imagine you could wear this to a ski resort as well. Buy this jacket.

I’m 5’8” and 185 and the medium fits just right. Also tried the large but was swimming in it even with a long sleeve hoodie and Antigua vest underneath for layering so kept the medium instead. Wore it this past week in 40-50 F, rainy weather. The coat is warm without it feeling overly heavy or bulky. Might not even need to layer at all given the insulation. Also able to wear it comfortably while driving and still have good range of motion. A bit tight in arm holes while wearing a thick hoodie under it, but able to wear a casual v-neck sweater and polo under it just fine while driving to work. Got the greige - a good neutral color that was $50 cheaper than the black or coffee brown. Glad I got a great deal on such now a comfortable Carhartt coat.

Bough this coat because I had lost my other winter jacket. Was looking for a coat that I could snowplow in the harsh Midwest winters. Decided to wear this the other day when it was chilly outside and was warm. It also rained a bit and I stayed dry. Can’t wait to use this in the colder months. It’s comfortable, lightweight, durable, and warm. Highly recommend!!

Very nice coat. Bought Large and Large Tall. I’m 6’1” - 212lbs. Gained an 2 inches in the sleeve with the Tall size - more comfortable as the sleeves don’t ride up nearly as much. Also gained 2 inches in the tail with the Tall side. So if you’re 5’10” + you may be in the same boat. Some folks prefer the sleeve to ride up as it’s out of the way when working / reaching / whatever. I don’t. Super Ducks feels great. Think a mix between a North Face coat and Carharrt Duck toughness. The hood is amazing. Not too heavy or baggy like my active coat. Has sinch cords to pull down. Lots of pockets so as a dad it’s useful. Always toting my wife’s & kids stuff - this fits that need perfectly. Lightweight but very room. Room for layers but very comfortable on its own. Only thing that could make this coat better was if they made it Full Swing. And a zipper pocket inside the left breast as opposed to the Velcrow pocket

I wanted a warm coat that would protect me from the cold, rain and wind. I just wore this in 0 degree weather, give or take, for the last 2 weeks and it was great! At 325lbs and 5' 11", this coat was a little bulky around the waist but for my shoulders perfectly. It has a good hood but it annoys me by the way it falls when I don't use it. Against the back of my head. If I reposition it, it's fine. Good purchase!

This is a lot of coat for $107. Yes, I bought it on sale. It has so many high end features and is very well made. I feel like I stole it. Actually, I bought two of these coats including an extra large for my son who is 6'1." His coat was not on sale. Of the two coats, I like mine (size large) better because it fits me. And it was on sale. And it was made in Vietnam, which is to say; it was not made in China. Strangely, my son's coat was made in China, which I try to avoid; even though, I bought from the same ad on Amazon, and the two coats have the same name. And his coat has a detachable hood, while mine does not. I could do without the hood because it covers my hair, which is my last good feature. Even so, I would rather have a permanently attached hood than no hood at all. It is that kind of coat -- a weather beater. Good job Vietnam! Good job Carhartt. If you can't manufacture in the USA, stick with Vietnam.
