These are super nice. They are a little 90s on the relaxed fit, but I’m glad someone is still doing it. Very high quality. Definitely worth the dough. Update: I was wrong. The relaxed fit isn’t 90s at all. I noticed a post from another poster on the regular fits. The person mentioned “darts”. Indeed, these sewn in darts are there even on the relaxed fit, and they are well done and tough. So, what’s really going on is Carhartt has their own thing going on here, and it’s not 90s. These are badass structured pants that would make 80s BDUs look like they came from K-Mart. They also laugh off a hot steaming iron. Good. Job. Carhartt! Final Update: Just got the straight fit. Incredibly nice. The darts define the knees so that the pant articulates with movement. I think I have a way to make the sizing work for everyone. Having worn both patterns, I’d go with a size up in waist with both. Stick to your regular inseam length. Otherwise: Straight Fit = Sex Pistols. Relaxed Fit = Pearl Jam. I’m “Sex Pistols” right now, but things might turn “Pearl Jam” due to the possibility of unforeseen and abrupt changes in caloric intake in the future. Ultimate Update: After all is said and done, and after wearing both patterns for a while now, I think I finally understand. Theses pants are evil. Anyone that has worn them for awhile will have to agree. They are great and I’m totally keeping them, they solve all sorts of problems I didn’t even know I had, but yeah…

Budget willing, I'd own 10 of these and replace the rest of my pants. They're perfect. Comfortable, durable, flexible, etc. There is a disparity between the colors, unfortunately. I ordered 2 pairs--1 of which was khaki colored and the other a grey. The Grey pants were quite tight and uncomfortable and seemed to be made from a different material. So, if you want the 5-star pants, grab the khaki colored pants.

Good feeling pair pants, a little looser fit than I'd like. I'm 6'3" and 230lbs so I can't really wear slim pants but these fit decent, just a little baggy. I have the black pair and EVERYTHING sticks to them, just walking through my house to leave, my cats hair clings to it like glue. Lint and dust also cling real bad. Might as well use the phone pocket as a lint roller pocket lol.

The one pair of pants that does everything. Tough enough for hard work. Casual enough for a fun date with wife or girl friend. Perfect phone pocket on the thigh. Stretchy enough to forget you have them on. A waist size for every waist (check it out). All season, Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring. I have six pairs of these, two in each waist size, one inch apart, 34", 35" and 36". My weight varies with the season and I like to feel comfortable. At this price, why not?

Although the Rugged Flex® Relaxed Fit Canvas Work Pant is similar in many ways to previous similar rugged work khaki relaxed fit (the brushed twill version) that came in Dark Coffee, it is clear they have combined/simplified the style in a few ways. 1) Cheaper/thinner fabric with "Stretch" - yuck. The older brushed twill was a stout fabric and was more comfortable. 2) Welt pockets have been ditched in favor of cheaper/simpler sewn on normal back pockets - makes the pants a little less suitable for office days. 3) The "top block" section of the pants is lower rise and slightly tighter (IMO; I own three pairs of the new model in different colors). If Carhartt still offered the Rugged Work Khaki in the dark coffee brushed twill fabric, I would still be buying them, but sadly they do not. I will probably have to move on to another brand.
