I'm always a little uncertain when pants are described as having a relaxed fit because sometimes you put them on and they look baggy and sloppy. Not these Carhartts. The fabric feels durable but also is stretchy enough that you get that relaxed feeling. Yet, they also fit close enough that they look neat and sharp. I ordered the same size I always get in jeans, 38x34, and the sizing was perfect. (I'm about 6'2" and 225 lbs.) The loops are big enough for a typical belt you would wear for work, something you don't always find, and the pockets look like they're reinforced well so they won't wear through. The construction seems solid. There are no loose threads or any other signs of manufacturing defects. The color is appealing, as well. These pants are dressy enough that you could wear them to work in a business casual situation yet also exceptionally comfortable so you could work in them all day. These would be especially suitable for hot weather, as the color would not attract too much heat and the fabric is thin enough that it would breathe well. Wherever you choose to wear them, this is a pair of pants that you can put on from the very first time and they already feel like they're broken in. Very pleased. ... show more

So these pants are awesome!! They fit well (regular fit) and are not too tight or too loose. For reference, I am 5'7", 170lb, muscular build. The fabric is very soft and feels like authethic cotten. It's stretchy and breathable, which is why I think it's so comfortable. Also, there's a phone pocket near the knee. It's a really, really good feature. I honestly think all pants should have that pocket. It fits even the biggest of phones, like my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I haven't experienced my phone falling out, even when sitting or walking around. I do wish it had maybe a button for that pocket, but I'm knit picking. The phone pocket is great because now I don't have to worry about that square getting worn in on the regular pocket, or that square silhouette appearing in photos. The regular pockets are big inside and the fabric feels tough. I've got a good feeling these pants will last. At $65, it's a little on the more expensive end, but I would absolutely wear these over jeans. Overall, the fit, the materials, the big pockets, and the awesome phone pocket make this an 5/5 stars for me. ... show more

I was very pleased with these pants for casual use and for office work. They aren't nearly as thick/stiff as typical Carhartt pants or even their other casual work pants which I'm ok with but if you're needing them for work they might be a bit too thin and not as abrasive resistant which is why I deducted one star along with the price is a bit high. For casual use though they're great and very comfortable. The stretchyness of the fabric is really nice and the waist has a bit of stretch too. I typically wear a 33x34 or 34x34 and got the 34x34. They fit a tiny bit on the small side so would recommend ordering up a size. ... show more

    • Great Everyday Pants That Work for Almost Anything

I really love these pants. They are extremely comfortable right from the first wear and have that relaxed feel without looking sloppy. The fabric has a nice weight to it and feels durable, but it is still flexible enough to move around easily whether I am bending, walking a lot, or just out running errands. What I like most is how versatile they are. I can wear them for a casual day out with a simple polo or t shirt, and they still look put together. At the same time, they hold up just as well when I am doing yard work. They do not feel stiff or restrictive, and the relaxed straight fit gives enough room without being baggy. The quality is what I expect from this brand. The stitching looks solid and the material feels like it will last. The color is also easy to match with just about anything. This pair of pants is the perfect trifecta: durable, comfortable, and stylish as well. The fabric and quality overall is excellent, with a pretty good thickness and flexibility. The fit/comfort level is great, and the size 30/32 pair that I got was spot on, and the pockets are nice and deep. They also have a very stylish appearance that pleasantly surprised me, with the blue color that I got being an exceptionally nice tone, with a good amount of versatility to it in terms of pairing other things (shirts, shoes/boots, etc.).     • Too small, bad pockets, made for string beans.

Man, these things are tight! Ordered my regular size and these things are tight at the thighs and hip. Now, I'm no string bean or skinny person, but I'm also not fat or chubby, I'm just a guy who works and somewhat built. And these pants are just not made for someone like me; they're made for someone who's skinny and lanky. And once I put my phone and wallet in my pockets? There goes walking up stairs... These are too tight and not made for working people. On top of that, the pockets are a straight down design, so you have to place your hand straight down the front of your pants to use them. Unlike other pants, where they're a semi 45 degree angle pockets and to the side, not these! They also shrunk somewhat right on the first COLD wash! Carhartt is just not worth their premium anymore sadly... ... show more
