  • Excellent I love it
Size: Medium Color: Moss
very comfy and warm. I got medium and it was still a little spacious. perfect fit. it also has a cool design on the back so you can reach out further with your arms without stretching the jacket.

  • Great Jacket, Tricky Sizing (imo)
Size: Medium Color: Black
Before purchasing this jacket I read as many reviews as possible on the sizing. When ordering clothes online we all want to avoid the pain of having to return them for a different size. One thing that stuck out to me was that people said the jacket runs big. I usually wear a medium in most shirts but with coats and jackets I usually get a large. I decided to go with the medium expecting it to fit more like a large based upon the reviews. I also have a Carhartt hoodie that is a medium and it’s pretty loose on me so the reviews that said it runs big seemed reasonable to me. I’m a 6 foot male with a 40 inch chest and I weigh 165lbs. I first put the jacket on over a t-shirt and it seemed a perfect fit but I would definitely not want it any smaller. The thing is I plan on this being my winter work coat and where I live it frequently gets 20 degrees Fahrenheit and below and I will need to add a layer or two underneath for the extra warmth. I tried the jacket on over a hoodie and it was just too tight and without enough range of movement for what I do so I returned it for a large. The large seems to be perfect on me with a hoodie underneath and it’s still not too big with just a shirt so I should be able to get more usage out of this jacket other than just the coldest winter months. The jacket itself is great quality. Triple stitching, tough materials, and draw strings on the hood and lower hem to customize the fit. I highly recommend this jacket and just about everything Carhartt makes. Hope my experience on the sizing is helpful. If you’re kinda in between sizes like I am maybe order the two sizes you fall between and keep the one that fits the way you want. ... show more

  • Fantastic Mid/Heavy-Weight Winter Coat
Size: Medium Color: Dark Brown
I bought this as a bridge between my Carhartt Yukon Extreme coat that I wear when it drops below the teens (sometimes way below). That coat is excellent for deep cold, but it's *so* well insulated that it's overpowered for anything above freezing. It will have you sweating in your truck or inside after a few minutes. This coat is a perfect solution for more common winter temps (Teens through 50's)-- it is extremely comfortable, fits great (I'm 6' 165lbs and size Medium is perfect) and it has a hood that I use all the time. It is genuinely warm- I can wear short sleeves under it in the 20's and I am absolutely comfortable. I praise it highly as an overall excellent winter go-to-- I love the dark coffee brown color (matches my Stetson) and the sherpa in the body/hood is soft and doesn't shed anything onto my clothes (the sleeves are nylon lined not sherpa, FYI). The hand pockets are appropriately deep and let you protect your hands well --something I knocked the Yukon Extreme coat for pretty hard, with it's pitiful mouse-hand pockets that won't even hold a cellphone without extreme risk of it falling out. The zipper on this coat is metal, and since no review is worth anything if it doesn't find a flaw somewhere, I think they would help users by having a larger zipper tab for your fingers to grab-- it's really quite small for an otherwise hefty-weight coat and finding it is a burden that seems like a preventable oversight-- but that's all I really find to complain about. You will love this coat. ... show more

  • Loved by all
Size: Medium Color: Moss
Four different men in my family are wearing this jacket now, not kidding. From average size to big & tall. My husband was the one to buy it first and he loves it. I don’t think he’s ever loved another jacket as much as he loves this one. The fit looks great and the material feels quality.

  • Almost perfect... BUT you should read if front pockets are important to you
Size: Medium Color: Moss
First of all, this jacket is overall great. well made, sturdy, warm, and comfortable. Good for spring and fall work and weather, and winter with a single midlayer like a hoodie. Sherpa lining on the abdomen and hood and tipple seamed, and with good rugged canvas like exterior. The fact that it looks good is just the cherry on top. A minor thing, the bottom draw cord isn't the best for keeping out updrafts due to the sturdy fabric but it may soften through wear and if you are layering its not a big deal. HOWEVER, the front pockets really need to be mentioned if they are important to you. They are both extremely shallow and uneven. You can see in my pictures that my phone sags out pretty far in my left pocket, and just a little out of my right. I even got it replaced thinking it was a manufacturing mistake, and my new jacket was the same, so I have to assume its part of the design itself. This has been a downside for me since I use them a lot. I've dropped my keys, phone, and tools from these shallow things. Especially since they don't have buttons or zippers. Of course you can put stuff in your breast pocket and they will be good, but you shouldn't have to since your lower pockets are your go too ones. Another thing is that as a colder weather jacket, they are pretty bad at keeping your hands warm. On the left pocket, the back part of my hand tends to stick out a bit because of how shallow it is. If Carhartt evened out these pockets and gave them a little more depth it would be perfect, but as it is, its a constant and notable annoyance. I might return it because I don't want to be loosing stuff. ... show more

  • Fits well. Not oversized.
Size: Medium Color: Black
I just got my jacket. I had read reviews that the Carhartt jackets run large. I find that not to be true with this jacket. I am 5'9" at 145lbs. I wear size medium shirts. I bought the size medium jacket and i can say that it is true to size. Sleeve length is perfect. The jacket is roomy enough to wear layers underneath. Even room enough to wear bulky layers like a thick vest or heavy sweater. Which is what I would like to do. The sleeve elastic cuffs are snug. Which I like. The cuffs stay secure around your wrists with a full range of arm motions. Also keeps heat in and cold air from slipping in. The shell is sturdy. It feels like light armor. Could withstand abrasive scuffs from thorns or whatnot. The torso of the jacket is warm. The sherpa lining is soft and nice contrast to the exterior shell. The pockets are firm and tight. Doesn't feel like any contents that could be fit inside would fall out. There is also drawstrings at the bottom hemming of the coat torso that can be tightened to be more snug to your hip. Useful to keep in warmth and cold drafts out. Hood is sherpa lined. while not large in capacity, it fits securely around my head. Overall, this is a good durable warm coat with nice range of motion in the arms that does fit true to size. ... show more
