  • The Perfect Pants (Again! [x3!])
[1yr Update] I wore these pants almoat everyday to work at the woodshop I was at and they were comfortable, durable, and took a lotta abuse. They're still lined and sturdy, but I needed clean looking slacks for my new job. My first pair are still used for weekend doins and personal projects but I stand by my previous reviews. Hella good pants! [1 month update] I know they aren't made for it. But I wore these on a 50 mile bike ride. It was about 45F out, so these were perfect for blocking wind. Was able to roll them up to under my knee when it got too hot. No chaffing or anythin'. Extremely comfortable! Super happy with my purchase of these pants still. Look I wish I was sponsored. I only just got these today. And I wish I could see the flaws other people are talkin about. But these pants are perfect to me. Roomie, fits without a belt loosely. For relaxin'! With belt is snug and good. The flannel lining ISN'T like your favorite flannel shirt. It's like the smooth one you only use for job interviews. Which I was worried about that being a negative.. But I think it's a good choice. You can wear these in colder weather without losing your legs to windchill. If it gets into like.. The low 20s(F), then yeah. Just put on some longjohns. And I don't see them being more of an issue in the summer than any of my other pants. I've worn them the whole day that I got'em. The fly is a thicker metal than normal pants I've had. The denim feels durable, the flannel is smooth, but as pants? super nice. I'll make sure to post an update down the line for longevity. But if you're used to looser pants you'll love these, folks. The won't give you a figure, but they're comfortable as all get out. I walked through the blackberry vines outside and it took the thorniest of thorns to eventually stick me. So I give four enthusiastic thumbs up. [Size up Review!!] At my current job I have the horrible curse of getting a lot of expired food. So I packed on about 30 pounds and no longer fit into my favorite pants :( So I got six sizes larger! :D Feels just as comfy as the last two pairs! Room to move around! I can bend and touch my toes now! WHOA. ... show more

  • These are wonderful, and comfortable Jeans
I bought these for my husband so he would stay warmer in our Illinois winters. He recently lost 40 lbs and now has no butt to hold up his pants unless he wears a belt. Going from a size 40/42 waist size down to a bit shy of a size 34W/30 length, he comfortably wears the size 36/30's. He really likes these jeans and appreciates the warmer-lined jeans. I would recommend these jeans for their durability and quality. They are a bit high priced but worth it. ... show more

  • Perfect for the cold..
Color: Darkstone Size: 42W x 30L
I bought these jeans this past winter to use while riding my motorcycle. I was able to get in more time on by bike. I rode in temps in the low 40's with no problem and with long johns on under them I rode in the 30's, and that's without chaps on.. For you riders, you know that is good.. They fit great, and look great. Not tight but just right with a bit of room to spare. These are thick but, soft and very comfortable. They are very high quality. Now that I know how good they really are I will be buy a few more pair before cold weather next year.. ... show more

  • They're okay, bu-u-u-uht ...
You might LOVE these jeans. I like them a lot. Unfortunately for this manufacturer, as far as my review is concerned, is that these arrived shortly after a more favored pair by me did. To me, these feel stiff and heavy. they're going to require more breaking in than other jeans I own. SO, it's maybe a matter of taste. Myself, I LIKE the flannel lining, both the way it looks AND feels, BUT overall, to me, they feel stiff and not really that comfortable. I'll probably feel differently once I have broken them in some, however they fit a bit more snug in comparison to other jeans I own of the same size, so unless it turns colder than expected, these will not be the go-to jeans I thought they were going to be. Again, because they feel too stiff to me COMPARED to other jeans AND they're too snug. I tend to go for comfort over function though sometimes. I'm NOT looking forward to breaking these out for inclement weather nor for breaking them in for that. ... show more

  • Great pants if you have athletic legs
Finally, jeans that aren't for skinny legs! I guess all the comments about the legs being big (at least compared to most other jeans) are true. I'm a long-time cyclist and love to do squats so I need all the thigh room I can get. Most "relaxed fit" jeans are barely big enough in the thigh to be usable, are annoyingly snug and ride up the leg. If you add low rise they put "the boys" in a vise every time I sit down. Not fun!! The leg opening/cuff is a bit big (probably for work boots), but I'll take that any day over typical fit pants. I'd call these medium to high rise, which is what I want. The flannel lining doesn't seem super thick, but they are definitely warm and impressively wind proof. I really like these and will definitely get more lined and non-lined in the future. Thank you Carhartt! ... show more
