    • (Almost) Perfect go anywhere do anything jacket
I've been wanting a Carhartt Detroit Jacket forever and after tons of research this has lived up to the hype. I'm 5' 11", slim athletic build at 160lbs, broad shoulders, long arms and the Large fits me perfectly. I do have somewhat freakishly long arms so for a more average build I can see the sleeves being a tad long. It's surprisingly warm, while being light and super comfortable due to the blanket lining. I can wear this over a heavy sweater with a scarf, or just over a tee shirt and it's great. It also looks amazing and I feel I can fit in just as well as on a job site, or out to a nice restaurant. I've knocked off a start because it collects lint like crazy. I have a Golden Doodle dog and in black this thing is starting to look as fuzzy as him. In retrospect brown might've been better for not showing lint, but the black just looks so damn cool. ... show more

I work for an excavating company and this jacket holds up really well to the cold/wind and the material is tough so it protects me from getting cut up from sticker bushes or really anything you could think of on a job sight. I’m 6’ and 175 lbs and got the large. I have all the mobility I could ask for. I’d say it’s worth the price ... show more

It's the classic Carhartt jacket and it performs just like all the others I've had, except the zipper is kinda difficult to get started. That may fix itself as I get a little more wear on it (or I just learn how to fiddle with it quicker). The Carhartt canvas work pants I oet fit and wear great.
