First off it is extremely soft and comfortable on the inside. It is coated on outside nicely to block water and wind. I work outside most of the day in all weather so for me having to be out on the cold, rain,snow and for a long period of time, it has made it very tolerable. Ok I needed a Hoodie so carhartt right! It's been a few hours of wearing it on and off. I'm warm not overly hot but not chilly at all. I did the water test under the kitchen sink and it's dry to the touch. It's crazy wild since it feels like a regular cotton Hoodie but reveals water. I got the loose fit since I want to be able to layer up or wear long sleeves under the hoodie. The only 2 problems I see is the neck is a little tight and the hood is short but I didn't want a zipper to fail on me hopefully the neck will stretch out with my big head taking it on and off

The work. I work. I wear them all winter working outside. they shed rain, they keep you warm, they are heavy and strong and last a long time, you can treat them badly and they take it. Mine last a couple years under heavy use... I throw them away because I stain them or I do something stupid... otherwise they would outlast me. These are 'the thing' no need to keep shopping.

I got a large. 5’9”, 200 lbs. fits good. What I don’t like is there is a little small pocket on the right side inside the big pocket and my hand gets caught up on it once in a while. No clue what that pocket is for. Other than that. Have worn it on mornings when the temp is right around freezing. It’s heavier weight is nice.
