This heavyweight, hooded sweatshirt has a zip front for fast layering. It's made of 13-ounce, 80-percent cotton / 20-percent polyester fabric and has a rain defender durable water-repellent finish. It is designed with spandex- reinforced rib-knit cuffs and waistband to keep the cold out. There's an attached three-piece jersey-lined hood with draw cord, front hand-warmer pockets, and an antique-brass front zipper. The carat logo is embroidered on the front left pocket. This hoodie definitely deserves five gold stars. I have used Carhart products for years and always found them to be of great quality and value. This is a heavyweight hoodie, so it will be perfect for the approaching cold days. This hoodie was made in Mexico, and I'm just fine with that because they are our neighbors to the south. I have several pieces of Carhart wear from Mexico and they are all superb in every respect. I'm 6"4" and the X-Large Tall version fits me perfectly, right down to the sleeve length. I could not ask for a better fit. In fact, I just ordered another one in a different color. I bought these to wear just for casual use, as I have other Carhart products for work, but they would be right at home no matter how you use them. I loved mine so much I bought another for a family member. It is water repellent (don't wash with fabric softener), the snow and light sprinkles shed off and doesn't soak in. My husband wore this when we went to Alaska. It kept him warm, and dry when it rained. Great alternative to a heavy bulky coat that he would not wear much where we live in the south. The loose fit is great so he can wear other layers comfortably as needed.

I really like these Hoodies they're durable and comfortable, but beware the size is a bit off. I own two of these, a Large and Medium. The Large is more like a XL and the Medium feels like a Smaller Large.

Hubs is picky about length. No plumbers butt and no Jethro short arms. This is perfect. And quality like Carhartt brings. Substantial weight. (Miss the old thick Sherpa lining - but this comes close). The outer layer is tough - tight woven, NOT some sweater material. The stitching is superb - TRIPLE stitched at the pockets.
