Gotta like the firm duck exterior keeps the wind out and the Sherpa lining is toasty. I say this as a person that isn’t wild about Sherpa linings. Though it is especially nice in the handwarmers/pockets. I wish the front pockets/handwarmers were slightly deeper and slightly smaller openings. I wanted them to be slightly more like side-entry on a leather bomber jacket. They can secure a tall boy can of beer pretty well though. The Napoleon pocket on the upper left side is pretty functional but also free floating. The lining has followed my wallet out on several occasions. I try to use the inner pocket but that are borderline useless to me. The pocket on the inner left side is big enough to hold my bulky, Defender Series Otterbox clad iPhone but it is too far down; you have to practically completely unzip the vest to access the pocket. The inner right pocket isn’t deep enough to hold the phone and secure the hook and eye-loops (Velcro); kind of wish it was a snap or and maybe had a flap. It is decent enough for pen but not a Churchill sized cigar. There is a small hole on the right-side pocket to be used, I assume, as a place to put a pen or pencil. The drawback is that the hold opens in the pocket. It makes the right side uncomfortable to use as a handwarmer with a pen in there. The spot for the pen is almost perfect; two changes: 1. Slightly larger opening; fit a pen and mech pencil or a sharpie. 2. Enclose the pen area and secure it to the body of the vest All that being said I am really happy with the vest and wear it almost day with it’s not Hoth cold outside. I bought a size up because I wanted to be able to wear it over a bulky hooded sweatshirt. I am slightly regretful about that. I recommend buy the size you think you wear and one size bigger and try them both with added and without the bulk of a hoodie layer. It says loose fit and I really think they mean it. Keep in mind vests work better to retain heat when they are closer fitting to the body. There is a tradeoff for range of motion comfort.

I am 6'1" and 360lbs so I bought a size bigger knowing that I was most likely going to wear a sweatshirt underneath. I could probably wear a 3x, but went with a 4x. Still have a ton of room and great movement. Very warm, very durable and had my logo embroidered. I passed these out for Christmas and they are well received. Two pockets on sides and top left chest pocket that zippers for phone or cash to keep handy. Internally there are roomy pockets on each side that velcro at the top. PlasticLumberStore.net loves this product!

I am 6’ even about 175-180 ordered a medium in tall and it fits perfectly! Room for a layer or even two but not awkward with just a long sleeve thermal. I usually wear a large in everything but carhartt sizing is very odd. Quality makes it worth it!
