The wallet itself seems nice enough. It is a gift, so I'm happy with the quality. Like others have said, it would be nice if the bill compartment had a nicer lining. The only thing that annoyed me was the case it came in. I would've been fine with it coming wrapped/protected in plastic, but it comes in a metal box. That's nice! But, because they literally just threw the lid and the base of the case into a soft bag to ship it, there are dents and scratches. If it's included, it's part of what I paid for. It's not horrible, just kind of annoying.

Wallet I like, but this was shipped in a bubble mailer and my tin was bent in and damaged. Should it of shipped in a box, might not have been damaged.

I could have done without the divider in the billfold. Love that its just a simple bi fold. Slim and sleek. Doesn't feel like a big bulge in your back pocket. Much like the other products that Carhartt puts out, its good quality and durable.

The leather is hard but solid, the stitching is straight and robust; the manufacturing process is sound. The design is flawed and irritating. I could make do with a lack of the usual inner, central pockets behind the main credit card slots, surprising that they are not there, but it's not a huge deal. The deal breaker, though, and what led me to order three different brands of wallet last night in hopes of finding a good one, is that there is no inner lining in the currency section on this wallet. Bills catch on the rough surface of the cured leather, so putting your cash away is a repeated fumbling annoyance. Most men's wallets have a smooth or silky polyester lining in the currency section for precisely this reason. I have only had it for 2 or 3 weeks but screw this wallet and in the trash it goes.
