I'm a big fan of Carhartt products, and I've been a returning customer for over 20 years. That being said, every now and then, Carhartt makes a product I can't shower with praise. This would be one of those products. I bought these to replace my Adidas trunks (the boxer-briefs with the shorter legs), after losing weight. I ordered a Large, and that's what the tag says. Unfortunately, they're much larger than my XLs. Like, by a full size, roughly. The quality felt like it was there, and they looked really nice, but what ultimately kept me from replacing them with a smaller size was the price (you get one pair for almost the price of a t-shirt) and the fact that these drawers are high-waisted (think Steve Urkel's wardrobe). Make sure to order these smaller than expected, and if you don't wear your pants up real high, you might not be able to use these with your jeans. ... show more

Fabric is comfortable and attractive, but they came in too large or with too weak an elastic (both in waist and thighs). Also, who the h-e-double hockey sticks puts a label in clothes anymore? Who wants a label in their t-shirt or underpants? Nobody. Who puts a big ol' label just off center in their drawers? Carhartt. And they want to charge more? These are very different than what I had expected. They are not like other boxer-briefs because they have no stretch, no give, and very little support. Think of them as tight-fitting boxers. The knit fabric is high-quality, but I buy boxer briefs for their support and flexibility. They are also very expensive for what you get. Also, strangely, they have a much tighter and more intense elastic waistband than I expected. After many years I decided to try 4 different brands of underwear. They were, by far, my least favorite! Droopy drawers... That's how they looked on me. They fit in the waist but were way too baggy where it counts. I'd also say that the material they used was uncomfortable and not what you'd expect from an expensive pair of shorts. Most underwear I buy comes in three packs...that's what I expected. Shame on me for not reading the description. It's a nice pair of underwear, but $21 is a ridiculous price for a single pair of britches!!
