I had a surgical incision that split open and just would not heal and was very painful. I had been treating it and caring for it exactly how my doctor instructed. After 6 weeks it was still raw and open and not healed. I was looking for something with lidocaine and found this. I used it for 2 weeks with a bandage and my incision finally healed. It did not remove the pain completely, but it helped. As others have mentioned, it is very difficult to open. I don’t have kids at home so I just put the cap on without screwing it on while I actively used it.

This product works well for skin irritations when lower strength pain relief is needed. However it is so hard to push down on the cap and twist to open that sometimes I have had to use a tool like pliers to open it! I have arthritis in my fingers and that is probably part of my issue, however I have never had this much difficulty opening other tubes of various kinds. It is a shame because the gel works well for simple pain relief. I may not purchase again because of my difficulty opening it each time I have used it.

You know, I'm really not so sure if this gel works or not....I'm still trying to get the cap off! If you have any mobility issues with your hands you may and probably will have a bear of a time just getting the cap off. I've never seen anything like this in my life, a product that's not only child-proof but also ADULT-proof! I won't buy this again.

After wrenching all ten fingers, and a couple of wrists, it's still not open. Yes, I followed the opening instructions! The most ridiculous packaging EVer! If I can get that dynamite, I might be able to rate the pain relief. Needless to say, I am very angry.
