This is the second set of these I have ordered from Amazon. First set needed replaced after one of them fell off helmet and got ran over (my fault), but still worked for another 2 yrs until being caught in a monsoon. The other one still works fine, but wanted a matched/paired set. Thats when I bought another pair of them. For the money my wife and I cant live without them (It took 2 days not having them to realize it). These work flawlessly for what we use them for, my wife and I have separate bikes and these are a must. Yes the speakers are not hat great, but can be upgraded fairly cheap. I bought the IASUS XSound 2.1 helmet speakers and we are highly satisfied with the sound. I recommend these to everyone. Yes they make better ones with more features and able to pair with more riders, with better sounding speakers, but the Freecom 2 Plus does eveything I need them to do at a very good price.     • Great for rider communication and phone conversations
I bought the two set so my wife and I could talk to each other while we were on the spyder together. They work great for that. You can choose you Mike option for your helmet type. Communication between us while riding is clear and easy to understand. I've also used it on solo rides with my full face helmet and the person on the other end did not even know I was on my bike.     • Works after adjustments
To start off I bought the dual set to replace my Sena set I sold years ago. For the price, I’m happy with my purchase. Pros: Communication between my unit and my wife’s is nice and crisp. Setup is easy and accessing intercom and other settings is simple with the phone app. Volume can be nice and loud once you set it in the app. When talking over Bluetooth no one can tell I am riding 60+mph on the highway, and my bike is loud. Had the headset for 3 weeks and about 9 rides (30mins average) and have not recharged the headset yet. Sitting around 60-75% battery life. Cons: Included cable is trash. Unable to update firmware until I used a different cable from another device. If you are having trouble updating, try a different cable. Volume out of the box is very low, even when turned all the way up via headset.     • Quality Music and adequate communications device
So, I just started riding 5 months ago. I was using my airpods and nearly ripping off my ears each time I took my helmet off (SHOEI SR-RF). I mainly ride alone but sometimes daughter/wife hop on the back of my CanAm Ryker and we go for a spin. Overall - really good device for the price. Honestly, you don't need to have BOSE quality sound going while you are riding - you should be paying attention to your surroundings. That said, the sound on these is really, really good. I was a radio DJ for years and the quality is great. Could use a bit more bass but that's fine. The communication between riders could be a bit better - there is a definite pause and we find ourselves repeating a lot because it gets garbled or breaks up. Not the latest Cardo offering, but significant upgrade from the Cardo Q3 used for rider intercom to a passenger. The integration of phone, GPS, and bluetooth music is significantly improved from the earlier product. Sound quality is good to excellent with the larger speakers especially when using ear plugs. Installation was as simple as pulling the old units and dropping in the new. Noise suppression is better than the old unit but not perfect as I'd hoped. If you don't need rider to multiple rider mesh performance this is the one to buy as it is significantly reduced in price. ... show more
