Paddle Grit - is nice for both topspin & slice, more than my other carbon fiber paddle. Control & Power - for a 16mm paddle, it's more of a control paddle than power, for dink - thumbs up, on slice both front & back hand, power is OK, on speed up & flicks it works well within the kitchen. I heard about this paddle being "the best paddle you've never heard of". And...that it's a fantastic and affordable option if you want a high-end pro paddle but don't want to spend $150 to $250. It's manufactured with preferred materials (T800 Carbon) and popular process (Thermoformed) as most of all the pro expensive paddles are. The difference is that the major brands have to pay huge endorsement fees and they sponsor everything in the industry...so consumers pay for that in the cost of the paddles. It's that way in every sport. I got this paddle a few weeks ago and it's fantastic. I play with many excellent pickleballers who own Selkirk, Joola etc. Two friends of mine have the Joola paddle this Amoswiz was copied after...and we switched paddles for an evening and they could not feel or see ANY difference from their $250 Joola paddles....and I did not notice anything different either. We all felt we played the same regardless of which paddle we played. If you are a person who needs the "name" on the paddle then by all means you have the right to spend your money however you want. But if all you care about is performance, feel, and aesthetics, then this paddle is SERIOUS value. In 2004, I was honored as the best custom golf club fitter/builder in the world...and I did not make nor endorse any big name golf brands. The best equipment is not always the most expensive or the one that spends the most on advertising. I give this added golf info simply as credibility for my opinion. But it is just an opinion and everyone has their own preferences for shape, size, weight, balance, feel etc etc. That being said, I did not benefit in any way from giving this review...I paid for the paddle and did not receive anything from Amoswiz nor Amazon for giving a positive review. ... show more

    • Decent paddle - T800 carbon fiber?
Color: Slim Paddle
This is a decent sub $100 paddle. I'm a fan of 16mm paddles, and this one is weighted properly. The edge guard is nicely done. The grip is exceptionally soft - softer than I typically like, but that's a personal preference. You can swap out the grip tape if you prefer a different feel (as I did). The included extra grip is actually a better feel from my perspective. The T800 carbon fiber surface is stated to have 20% higher tensile strength which is supposed to provide more powerful shots and have a longer lifespan. I cannot tell any difference and my opinion is that it's a marketing effort to differentiate this paddle from others. The included neoprene paddle cover is one of the better ones I've seen. The paddle plays well and seems balanced between power and control without dominance of one over the other. In summary, a decent paddle, but I'm not sure it distinguishes itself from others in the ~$100 price range. ... show more
