Description

Wash & Wax Car Wash Soap was specifically formulated to be a safe but powerful cleaning soap for Tesla owners. The formula itself is biodegradable and water- based, while also being pH neutral. It can be used either as a traditional car wash soap mixed with water in a bucket washing system, or can be added to a foam cannon if you prefer to wash your vehicle that way. Wash & Wax Soap comes infused with both UV protection and Ceramic protection, both of which will help keep your car cleaner for longer. It's safe on vinyl wraps, tint, and paint protection film (PPF), as well as gentle for Tesla paint itself, which is known to be more prone to scratches, degradation, and wear and tear over time.

This detergent is pretty good. I don't have a Tesla, but I don't really see how that would affect the quality of the soap. From my experience with it over the past few weeks, it makes a decent lather and does a fair job at cleaning off dirt from a car that hadn't been washed in over 6 months. That was the first time I'd used it. Each subsequent time, it made a better, thick lather. I use the detergent in a foam gun where I mix it with roughly 32 oz of water. I've used up a little over half the bottle and have washed my car 4 times. So overall, I'd say this is a pretty car soap. Not sure why this was product is branded specifically towards Teslas, it certainly works on all cars. The soap feature works well and smells nice. The wax feature more or less is not noticeable. Compare this to other X in 1 products, it's not out of line for price, but certain I do think some features are a bit gimmicky. ... show more

I got this as a wash and wax for soft paint. It was used in a bucket wash with good results. It may also be used with a foam cannon if needed. This foams and cleans well with no streaking. It cuts heavy dirt and grime washing it away and was gentle on paint. This also left a slightly enhanced shine after the wash. It's easy to use, and although marketed towards Tesla owners, I used this on other vehicles, and it worked great. This has a pleasant orange citrus scent. It was safe for use on vinyl as described. The recommended mixture for bucket washes is 1 ounce (3 capfuls) per gallon and 2-3 ounces (approximately 8 capfuls) for a foam cannon. So you will get 16 washes per bottle with bucket washes and approximately 6 with a foam cannon. This is $1.25 per bucket wash and around $3.33 with a foam cannon. It seems pricey for the amount, but this does contain ceramic protection, which usually costs more. It's made in the USA and good quality. ... show more

The car wash soap works very well. It provides the car with a nice shine and glow. It removes dirt and grime easily. It seems good as well.

    • Tesla Car Wash - Gimmicky - But Cleans ;-)
This Tesla car wash worked on my car and I do not have a Tesla. ;-p While it smells nice and does what it is intended to do -- cleans a car -- it seems adding Tesla to the name doubled the price point without adding value ($20 at the time of this review for 16 ounces). If you can catch this on sale, with or without a Tesla, this will clean your car without getting too sudsy. In my experience detergents with too many suds are more trouble than they're w o rth. Stated biodegradable and better for the environment though I had no way to test that. I would have liked to rate this 3.5 stars, as slightly above average, and rounded up to 4 stars.
