This is a review for Car LED Sign DIY Programmable Scrolling LED Display 7"x3" USB 5V Flexible LED Matrix Panel Bluetooth App Control Custom Light Signs for Store Window Brand: Miootly This is a pretty cool little gizmo. 7" x 3" is pretty small, you might have the idea that it has a bigger display than it does from the photos but it basically fits in the outstretched hand of a larger adult. Would be perfect for a ride share driver - could easily be affixed to the passenger visor and just flip it down when you want to use it. It is bright and easy to read - would work great in the window of a car, etc. (presuming that this is legal where you live). However, there I have one issue with it - when it is done displaying whatever message that you select or program in, it ends with a very bright, mostly white "L E D" and some graphics on the display which stays on until you select another message. It would be much nicer if it could be blank / off when nothing is displayed. It is also pretty low resolution, but gets the job done.

The "fun" of this LED sign wore off pretty quickly, and I realized it had way too many downfalls. - The overall size is very small. - LED density/resolution is not high enough for clear graphics. Text is ok. - The LEDs are not individually surrounded (walled off from one another), or inset into the material. So (even on a lower brightness settings), the light bleed from one LED to the one next to it creates very blurry/ghosted images and text. The translucent protection rubber that covers the LED matrix, only makes this matter worse. - While the app is feature heavy (which is cool), there are no real instructions for use. - Often had odd results between changing settings, changing images, changing text, and turning on/off. While I could possibly see the use case for this LED sign, I feel the value isn't quite there. If anything, I'd recommend picking it up on a really good sale.

Way to small

I wasn't expecting much. I've gotten portable LED panels in the past and haven't been impressed with the brightness, clarity or functionality. This checks off all the boxes. It's very bright, very clear and has lots of functionality (via the app). I was able to figure most of the features out after playing with it for about 10 minutes. I've decied to make it a notification sighn for my work from home office to let others know if I'm in a meeting or free. It comes with very robust adhesive (think rear-view mirror quality) and looks really good. You do have to reconnect the device to bluetooth each time you power cycle it, and sometimes it seems to drop bluetooth when you program something, but reconnecting is pretty easy. It comes with a remote that has preprogrammed messages that are car-themed and useless to the point of hilarity. The app also comes pre-programmed with clocks, emojis, animations, text and a bunch more. I also just learned that you can save to the device so that all you have to do is flip the switch to display the last program. This solved the issue of having to connect bluetooth each time and made this perfect for my intended use.

The media could not be loaded. This is a fun little light strip but I was really surprised with the size. I got a size 16X32. Keep in mind the size they put in the description is CENTIMETERS not inches. The wire is fairly long, but not long enough to put in the back of a car. It is a usb-c to usb-a wire. The preset functions are fun but not very realistic for everyday use. I can't imagine pressing buttons on the remote while driving, let alone keep pressing for a bunch of stuff. The lights are bright and you can read them up-close, but it will be hard to read for other drivers - like I said it's small. I say it's best for rideshare drivers who just put which app they drive for - they can just plug-in, customize the text, set it up, then forget it the whole ride. I had a challenging time with the app. There's no tutorial and you have to figure things out on your own to connect and customize it. I was able to figure it out after - check out the video on how it turned out. This will be better as a decorative light in your room or desk.

It's okay. I do like that it uses a usb-c charger cable. However I found that the program emojis that were available were lacking. Also, while the remote function is a cool idea, it is also limiting, and for a device that's so small, it wouldn't be able to be viewed from too far away anyway.
